Holy Month

Well in case you did not know this month is a holy month here in the middle east and for muslims everywhere. It's called Ramadan. Here is the official word on what happens during Ramadan.

"Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. It is during this month that Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. Lasting for the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small meals and visit with friends and family. It is a time of worship and contemplation. A time to strengthen family and community ties."

So how does this effect me as a Non Muslim? I am glad you asked.

Well first off, I can not eat, or drink or Smoke out in public during daylight hours, which when I am working is not a big deal other than my drive to work, once I am there I am free from the traditions, I can do as I please on the base.

They have what I was told are Ishtar's in the city that are large gatherings in tents for music and food and good spirits. I am not so sure I would be welcomed into such an envoirnment although I was told that I can and should go to one of these gatherings.

Everything here open's late during Ramadan. The Mall is open till like 2 AM and resturants open after 6ish and close in the AM also. All clubs are not open because alchohol is forbidden during this time. I have alternative methods of being able to party should the mood strike me. Lets just say I stocked up before Ramadan started.

I am almost done with my screenplay, so far I am on page 80 (I am planning to write to around 90+ pages) which is before the editing phase so that may change once I actually finish. I am writing the climax right now and in my opinion it's coming along great. I would post it but I am afraid that someone would take my idea and make a movie and make millions of dollars and all I would be left with is a blog entry. So I choose to keep to myself and should I get the chance to make the movie then you can be assured I will plug the crap out of it on here.

Other than that life has been going pretty smooth. The job is good, the home is good. Although I now have a house all to myself, my previous housemate has moved on and is now someplace else (Contract was not picked back up by the company). It's a huge house and I only really use my room so it's not much different when he was living here. Although today I am downstairs watching television writing this. So I guess now that I have the house to myself I venture out a little more.

I guess that is about all I have to say. Please stop back later, stop back sooner, but please all I ask is that you F$%Kin stop back.. HA!!!

What's going on...

Where to begin. Well for starters I am working my butt off. Which for me is a good thing. I need to keep busy or I get in a rut.

I am working on my latest project a screen play. So far I am about 65 pages into it, so about another 50 to go and I should be at the editing phase.

I would give you the story line but I don't want anyone to get any idea's. What I can tell you is that its a dark comedy where the main character, which is a high school softmore has a very interesting job which he basically falls into. So far the writing is going well. The scene's are coming very easily, sometimes it scares me. I had this idea for quite a while and finally installed my screen writing software to start writing it.

As I said I am working my butt off, 12's to be exact, which suck on some levels but is cool on others. I get an additional day off, but with no car. Oh well I guess I get a limo (upscale qatarie taxi) to go anywhere.

Ramadan is coming soon. I think it is expected to start on or about Oct 3rd. Which means that during the day no food is available anywhere. You can not eat or drink anywhere in public during daylight hours. Then at night the resturants are open to like 3 in the morning or something to that effect. I am not Muslim so you can be assured I am going to eat during the day but not in public.

I hopeing to get some jet skiing in over the next couple of weeks but I think I am going to have to wait till the religous month is over. Not a big deal, this gives me more time to hit the gym which I am sad to say has not been going great. The gym has been going great, its just that I have not been in it. lol

I went to the movies this weekend. I went to see the Transporter 2. Now I enjoyed most of the movie. The action sequences were great, up till the end. Then it appeared that they were just a tad unbelievable. They were doing some Jackie Chan'esq moves which if I wanted to see that I would go see him. But this one part he does these moves with a fire hose end, and it's way over the top. If you go to see it you will understand what I mean.

I think next I am going to see the Skeleton key, which has Kate Hudson in it. I guess its based on voodoo or something like that.

I also want to see "Red Eye" which at first I thought was about a girl who gets killed on a plane but due to a spoiler. I read that she is just involved in someone else's murder, and not by choice.

Oh, a few personal things happened. First my daughter turned 6. She had a birthday party and got lots of gifts. I talked to her after she got home from school and she told me they had a party for her there too but didn't have any candles for the cupcakes, but she still had fun.

My parents celebrated a anniversary so congrats to them. They celebrated by donating some money to the local casino. Sounds like they had fun though and that is all that counts.

Other than that things are just going well.

Tales from the Qatarie Hood....

Well apparently I am not updating this enough so I figured why not log on and write a little something.

I turned 32 this past weekend. I wanted to take the day off but unfortunately I had to work, not a big deal it was a easy day, but unfortunately I did not get the chance to go out and celebrate so I think maybe tonight we are going to go.

Local Bars:

In case you were wondering what the bar scene or club scene depending on where you want to go here in Qatar I will give you an idea.

So first you have to ask yourself, do I want to hear, Techno? Rap? Top 40's????

If you want techno, you will get to hear alot of it. They really like to play that type of music at pretty much every place I have been. This one bar, and when I say bar its really a hotel bar, because here in Qatar the only places allowed to sell alchohol are hotels and everything attached to them.

One of the hotels we go to is the Ramada, they usually have a live band which is philipino, and they are quite good. They play everything from Britney spears to Nirvana, so they try to play to a broad range of tastes. Now this bar is mainly a philipino bar, that is not to say that no one else is allowed there its just that there are alot of people of philipino decent there.

Then you have the Interconntenental they have a band on Thursday nights but not on Fridays, and they are usually packed. If you are hoping to meet a stewardess this is the place to go. They seem to flock to this place, not that I went to pick up a stewardess I am just stating the facts.

You then have the Shariton(Not sure if I spelled that right) suits, keep in mind I have never actually went there but I have heard they have a predominately alternative lifestyle crowd. When I say alternative lifestyle I mean one that is alternative to my own which is straight.

There is a small club called Cloud 9, and when I say small I mean you walk in and 5 steps your at the bar, dance floor and tables. I have only went there one time and it cost a bit more than the rest but we just wanted to say we have seen it. (Did not like this place at all.) Frequented by alot of locals which means they play alot of local music remixes.

There is one huge club called Amigo's which is an actual club and they are not attached to a hotel and that I have heard is because they are owned by someone that has some pull in the royal family but that is just a rumor I heard. This place has a humongous dance floor which I didn't go out on only because I am a pathetic dancer and do not wish to show the world how pathetic I can be dancing. Frequented by alot of peaople have only went there once and it was late so it was not as packed as I have heard it usually is.

Drink Prices:

Be prepared to spend some money drinking. A beer costs about 25 to 35 QR (Qatarie Riyals) or 10 bucks. If you want a mixed drink be prepared to pay for the whiskey and the mixer. Example, Jack and Coke, 23 for the Jack 10 for the coke.

Getting to the Clubs or bars.

All you have to do is get a limo, yes I called it a limo not a cab or taxi. See here you have 2 different kinds of transportation, you can get a taxi, which will be a crappy little car with no AC and smells. If you want to travel in style you get a limo which is basically like a sadan with tinted back windows, tons of leg room and usually smells nice and has leather seats. Here is the funny part, for approx 2 dollars more than the taxi you can get the limo. Plus you can negotiate the price long before you leave. If you want to drink then the limo is the best bet and you usually never have a problem getting one as they hang out near the enterences of the hotels.

Long time no Write

Ok its true I have been lazy. Or I could have been busy with my new job which is true.

There is lots to see and do, although I have been told that after 6 months you have seen and done everything there is to do here but I don't think that will be true.

Lets see, what to talk about.

Well in Dec of 2006 the Asian games will be arriving and the whole place is going nuts in perparation for this. First the housing prices have been going through the roof. Apparently the athletes and those who need to be here will be showing up soon and well those that own the villa's can charge more. Now here is the sucky part, they can raise everyone elses rent also.

But Steve, really isn't there some laws that stop them from doing that?

As far as I can tell, NO, they can do what they want. But its ok, because I dont pay for mine anyways.

Oh I bought a Television. Paid 130QR for it, or about 35 bucks, it was a 21 inch but I just wanted something to watch movies. I also got my DVD player for 60QR. I am getting pretty good at getting a deal over here.

I have went down to the Souqes looking for gold and have found a plethera of it. They pretty much sell anything you could want and if you cant find it, just bring them a picture or if you can get it a sample and they can make it. How Cool is that?

I have not seen anything that strikes my eye yet, a few cool things but nothing that I have to get. Maybe someday.

Oh apparently the Qatarie police are cracking down on driving here. What does that mean to me? well from what I saw the other day not much. I have yet to see a cop actually stop a car. I am not sure maybe they just write down license plates and then send tickets. They do stop for accidents which are pretty much a everyday occurance.

Oh BTW I got a parking ticket about 2 weeks ago. I was downtown with a buddy and some other friends, looking for gold and so we parked in what we thought was a good place. Well come to find out that whole side of the street got them and here is the NOT funny part, its $100. I have yet to pay it because my sponsor has to pay it for me and I reimburse them.

OK quick lesson about businesses here.

First off no one who is not a Qatarie can own a business by him or her self. However, they can own 49% of one. Which means that the Qatarie's own the other 51%. So if you want to come here and own a business you need a Qatarie partner. I have heard of some shady stuff that happens like, they ask for more of the business if its going well, or close it and take the profits. I am sure that might happen from time to time but if it happened all the time no one would come here and do business.

If you want to work here you have to have a sponsor. The sponsor is of course Qatarie. My company has another company that is our sponsors. so basically they take care of everything from Visa's to Drivers licenses. So for instance, since I have a ticket, they will pay it and then tell me how much I owe. Currently things are not all peachy with them and the company I work for but I am sure they will work things out.

I found an excellent Indian Resturant located in the Ramada Inn Suits, OMG is it good, talk about one of the best resturants that I have been to. They pamper you from the minute you step into the place and the food was to die for.

I also found another place that I think was called the Old Manor. An English themed resturant with these HUGE comfy chairs and great steak.

I am sure there is a few stories I could be telling but its Thursday and late and I am getting ready to take off and do something, perhaps go out to dinner haven't decided yet.

Well sorry for not updating as much as I would like to but work comes early and I need to get some sleep.

But....

I do have a few things that I am going to talk about in the next few days.

I went out for my first weekend here in Qatar and I will talk about the bar scene or lounge as the case may be.

Finding your way over here is not the easiest thing in the world, but thank god for maps.

Asking directions is mostly a waste of time, as even the locals don't know how to navigate around.

Roundabouts suck really really bad, (Thanks British Empire for instilling that wonderful idea)

Souqes’, (Sukes) little stores where you can barter for stuff, I got about 70 bucks off of a cell phone. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. I had a work phone but it was old and beat up and big, not fun to carry around.

Local telephone service, or lack there of I should say. I have been here going on 2 weeks and have yet to be able to use the phone here in the villa. We called and they told us it was our phone and that we need to get another, even though we have tried 3 phones already. Although I must admit for not even coming to trouble shoot these guys are proficient.

Accidents on the roads. Each morning I see a few cars wrecked on the side of the road. I don't mean that there is a accident each day they leave the wrecked cars out so everyone can see them. We did see 1 motorcycle accident, while leaving a club and one Mercedes up on a wall with 2 of the wheels not touching the ground.

Also the other morning when we were leaving for work a truck popped up on 2 wheels and drove past us, and we thought it was a mistake till he did it again later on down the road. Crazy mofo's.

Malls, malls, and more malls. Oh and stadiums too, there is a bunch here.

Ok all those stories and probably more when I get more time. I also am going to take my camera downtown for some pictures of both day and night. I will admit that the buildings are great, I am beginning to appreciate the middle eastern theme's

Shopping experience

Alright well I can see where I might be considered an infidel here. At least for a brief moment in time.

First let me tell you what it's like shopping here. First off the grocery stores for the most part are located in malls. There are like 3 large ones here and not too badly stocked with stores and what not. pretty much everything you could want as in western attire furniture, music, electronics and so on and so forth and also of course the supermarket.

Its more like a Wal-mart than a grocery or supermarket. Most everything is labeled in Arabic and English. Which by the way most people here speak fluent English although sometimes you really have to listen to what they are telling you.

So this particular trip I needed TP and some other stuff, Cigs and what not and decided to buy a 24 pack of Pepsi.

For some reason Pepsi over here taste better than in the states. They have the old style pull top like Slitz or any of those old beer companies used to use. They coat the inside of the can with plastic so you don’t get that aluminum taste. They also have Glass bottled Coke and Pepsi which is really good. Anyways....

So I go through the line and pay and all that oh side note, here you are to pass anything money or whatever with your right hand, because it is believe here that you are to use your left for bodily functions, I know its kind of weird but my thought is, well I am right handed so regardless what hand you think I use for bodily functions I am a righty.

So I pay and the kid at the end puts my stuff in a cart and I am like, not thanks I don't need it I will just carry my stuff, a few bags and the Pepsi, (Mistake)

Ok before I continue they are having this festival season inside the malls, they have fashion shows, clowns, music theater, all sorts of things, I think yesterday they were shooting a talk show in the center, it was all in Arabic but still kind of cool to see something like that. Anyways it was packed and people all over the place.

So I proceed to the door of the mall, we went down a few entrances (Usually there are 3 or so) and then just as I am about to get near the entrances the handle breaks and Pepsi's go flying all over the place. How embarrassed do you think I was? Here they local's are having fun and dancing or whatever they are doing and then whoosh instant buzz kill.

The guy I was with was saying out loud, how embarrassing I was. (Thanks Budddy)

Well I start to pick it up and then the female Qatari's are helping me pick up the cans. Which I thought was weird but very thankful. So After that, I did not make eye contact with anyone just got the sodas and left. Got outside and laughed about it.

I am sure that even in the states it would have been embarrassing but here it seems to be 10x that.

I guess the silver lining to my story is I have been in the most embarrassing situation thus far so if I screw up now, it wont be that big a deal right????

Is Qatar really like that???

Well let me tell you a few things about living over here. First off, let me ask you a few questions?

Do you like to drink alcohol?

Would you like to have unlimited internet access?

Haggle with store owners for merchandise?

Those are just for starters.

First let me tell you about the alcohol situation here in the country. First off yes you can drink, they have all the same types that we have in the US. However there are a few differences. For starters, drinks are very high prices compared to the US.

I have not been out yet and perhaps this Thursday (which is the start of the Qatar Weekend, Su - Th, Imagine going to the DMV on a Sunday, at 8 PM well you can here)

They do not have bars or clubs by themselves, however as long as those are attached to a Hotel they may serve alcohol. There is exactly 1 liquor store available in the country. Yes you heard me right, 1 store, and oh by the way I am located not too far away, go figure right...

But if you think you can just go in and buy something to drink you would be wrong. First you have to be a resident or have residential status. Then after you get that which is a whole process, I am going through that myself, I think it involves like a blood test, and a Chest X-ray, or perhaps that is for my drivers test, (I know, it's kind of funny huh, oh but no driving test, go figure)

Anyways, after you apply for and get your residency, you get to apply for a liquor license. Not to serve it just to buy it. I think the Qatari’s (Not sure how to spell that yet) frown on those who are true citizens drinking although I am told they still do, they just try to blend in.

Well to apply for your license its cost somewhere around $275 or 700 QR. Which is about 3.65QR to $1. But I am told its worth it only because drinks are so expense in the club. Also the amount of alcohol that you are allowed to purchase a month is dependant on how much your yearly income is, which I guess is a good thing that way it keeps some people from spending too much, however from what I heard the allowance is more than enough to last someone the month.

Unlimited Internet Access...

I am not positive on this I have only been told about it, but apparently Qatar watches what web sites are used and blocks those with offensive material. Yup that’s right just like work. I am not positive where they draw the line but one of my villa’ mate’s tried to go to a gaming web site and it was blocked not sure for what reason but he couldn't go there. I might have to test out that theory once I get more clarification on what happens if you do try. Who knows maybe it’s a fine, (They seem to fine on everything)

Oh here is a interesting fact I learned today. It's legal to fight as long as you open slap the other person, apparently multiple fights have been seen with guys slapping each other on the heads and stuff at Roundabouts (Roundabouts are basically an intersections only its a bit circle and you have to jockey for position to get to the turn)

However its illegal to punch and could send you to your local Qatar Prison. Now once again this is just what I have heard and if I find out I will make sure i post it. Most of this is either personal experience or what I have heard. Give me some credit I have only been here for 3 days.

Haggling for stuff at stores....

This I think is totally cool. What if you were in Wal-Mart and saw something you wanted well over here you could say, I think that is too much, how about I pay this much. It's like buying a car, only the car is everything sold here. Well everything might be a stretch, but you get the idea.

Sunday, which is like their Monday, I needed a Alarm clock so I would not be late to work. Well they had a small selection and the one I had my eye on was like 50 QR which is about 10 bucks. So I keep looking and ask to see it and I say, well I guess this one would be good. SO then the guy I am with says for that much only 10 more you can get the bigger one. Which he was right; I could and probably get a better deal.

I gave that, "Um I’m not really sure” Then the guy behind the counter was like I will give it to you for 48 QR. So I saved me some bucks there. I have heard that Gold and Silver are cheap here so I can't wait to haggle on some of that.

Ok one more quick story before it's my bed time. It’s already almost 9 here and that’s like 2pm in the states.

Yesterday was my first day on the job, but I needed to start my in processing. So he picked me up around 7ish and we went out to breakfast. This restaurant you wouldn't think would be similar to American but the whole place was dressed up like a old fashioned diner, complete with the little jukeboxes on the tables and coke posters all over. Even the waiters wore the old apron uniforms. I thought it was a little pricey but the food was really good.

After breakfast we went to get my picture taken at a small picture shop where I just had to sit there and let the guy take my picture a few times facing front then to the side, kind of like a police mug shot only sitting down and no hand cuffs, not that I would know what that is like...

Then we walked down a few stores and then into the clinic which is mostly Indian and other foreign doctors, although I did not see a doctor just a nurse. I was there to get my finger pricked so they could figure out what blood type I was. Well had they just asked I could have told them but no, had to cause the pain.

Well we got up to the floor which by the way is not numbered, 1, 2, 3 it was numbered. 0, 0.1 and 1 the middle floor had a specific name but I forgot what it is at the moment.

We step out of the elevator and to my right is a sign that says “Female Waiting room” and to my left is “Gents waiting room”. I am sure that most have heard that they are very segregated here in most Middle Eastern countries but it’s really different when you see it first hand.

There was a woman ahead of me, I believe she was actually a Qatar citizen and was covered head to toe with only her eyes showing. She was holding a conversation with the receptionist who was also covered but only the top of her head you could see her face. Then it was my turn, she spoke perfect English which, with the exception of the guys working on our complex everyone speaks almost perfect English.

(Side note most of the country is in construction, but when they are finished with stuff its pretty remarkable. Just like the pictures from Aladdin or any of those stories, the houses are very elaborate like palace's even for the normal citizens, I would love to see where the Emir lives, I bet its huge..)

Back to the story, I go down the hall with my little piece of paper for my needle stick. It’s a very small waiting room. I give the woman my paper which if you do travel here, you should ALWAYs pass anything with your right hand, they reserve the left hand for (bodily Functions) (Guess I should keep the fact that I am right handed to myself). She tells me to come on in through the next door, which is open and I can see another woman there rolling up her sleeve to give blood. So my dumb ass self walks right in as she is doing this which is very bad, only the women's husband and father are the only men who are supposed to see this. Well I didn't look I kept my eyes away and then as I entered the same nurse shooed me back into the next room and shut the door. Which just happened to be stuck so she had to sit there and realy tug on it to close it.

I apologized to the nurse and the one that was in there with the other lady, and explained that I just got here and was only doing what she had told me and sorry if I offended anyone. Not like I really cared, its not like I have not seen a fore arm before, however, to someone from here I am sure it would have been a major deal and the nurse probably would have been cussed out by which every Qatari male was there.

So needless to say it was an experience just seeing that and I am sure if the rest of my days are like that I Will have tons to talk about.

Tomorrow I think I will talk about driving in this country which so far I have a bunch of stories to tell.

New Blog Name

I was going to start over fresh with a new blog, but why would I want to do that when I have already wrote so much. Why not just start here and add to what I have already written. Plus it gives those who are new a chance to see what a weirdo I really am. HA!

Well if this is your first time let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Steve and I am currently living in Qatar working on a contract. If you are curious I am a Networking Engineer and that is about as far as I will go concerning my job. Especially with all of the terrorist problems in the world. Even though Qatar is pretty safe and I am not afraid to leave the house, I still would like to use some precautions when writing on here.

First let me tell you a little about myself. I just seperated from the service after almost 10 years. I enjoyed it very much but just thought that perhaps its time for a change and this new job was part of that change.

I don't want to hear any crap about americans coming oversea's for jobs as I am sure some people might think, but all I can say is you don't know my whole story so keep quiet. anyways,..

I started this portion of the blog to talk about stories or stuff that I see and hear over in this country and hopefully you get a laugh or learn something you didn't know. God knows in the first couple of days I have learned alot about this country I didn't know as well as Middle Eastern Culture or Muslim which this country is mostly made up of.

Well enough explaining let me get on to the first couple of days.

New Place of Sleep

I took some pictures today of where I am laying my head down at night, at least for the time being.

Its a pretty good sized villa here in Qatar, or near the city of Doha. I will post each and talk about them.

This first few is of my room and the house, not much to say except its mostly tile with the bedrooms and the computer room carpet. Its I guess the typical Middle Easter Decore. Oh and check out my Picnic table bed...

This next pic is of the front of a couple of villa's they are very alike aren't they?

This last set is of the back of my villa, as you can see or maybe not off in the distance is a huge stadium. I am gold they hold soccer games and what not, I guess sports that they like to watch in this part of the world. I was also told that the 2006 Asian games will be held there. That ought to be interesting.

OK, I guess we shall have to wait on those, I tried 3 times uploading and would not work. Maybe I am using up too much space on my blog picture thingy site.

I still have my travel story to tell but due to the fact I do not own this computer I don't want to spend all night on it. But soon hopefully I will have my own and be able to spend countless hours telling you all about:

Qatar finally

I have arrived in country today at 8:50PM local time. Not sure what time that is local to where you are but hey, you figure it out.

The trip was long and tiring but I have a few stories to tell and I shall when I get a chance to really sit down and write.

One of the other contractors in the house is letting me use his computer to write family and friends and I figured why not an entry on here.

Let me pose a few questions though.

Are sweatpants and sweat suits the new travel clothes of women world wide? It seems like that was all I saw, that and Capri pants.

Is there some unwritten rule about bathing before going on a long trip, I would have to dissagree with anyone that says there is, but yet it happens.

British pounds are very expense if your not ready for it, $40 US gets you like 18 (pounds) Not sure if I can do the right symbol.

Ok more on those subjects and others when I return.

Welcome back after a week of missing my random gibberish.

Well as I stated earier I was up to NY visiting my daughter Alica. To make a long story short, I have accepted a job oversea's and she is going to stay with her mother, so I went up to see her before I leave on Wed. I have a bunch of inprocessing to do with the company and stuff and should be over there on Sat. But let me tell you a little about my trip.

Well I left Sat, morning around 8ish. I didn't rush off, just got up, grabbed some clothes and left. I didn't pack the night before, figured why not, how hard could it be to grab some clothes. Well it was, couldn't find any shorts I wanted, then shirts and well instead of searching the endless socks for a few pairs I just bought a pack at walmart on the way.

The first thing I wanted to show you was a picture of a van that I cam across while driving. Now I am online quite a bit, and I like everyone else am plagued by pop ups. Well I never in a million years thought I would run into one on the Highway, somewhere in North carolina. (I think).

I had to take a picture and laugh when I saw that.

The next thing I thought was pretty cool, and I am sure I am not the only on when driving a long distance is to make good time, and average a nice speed throughout the trip. Well I am not sure if anyone else does this but here is what I do when I am driving on interstates.

I like it when someone flies past me going really fast. Alot of people, would be like geesh, what the hell, but not me, I wait till that person is about 10 car lengths away then I pull out and follow. I call these people pawns. It works pretty good, usually those guys or girls for that matter, do 15 to 20 miles over the speed limit and if a cop is ahead I see their brake lights go on, or they get pulled over before me. Now you still have to keep watch of the cars behind you. On my way back I was doing this and a sheriff pulled up next to me but was pre-occupied with something else and blew past me. Anyways, without further interuptions I would like to introduce my pawn through, Virginia, West Virginia, and PA on I-77.

After about 13 hours of driving I decided it was time to pull over. Well I could not find a Hotel in West Virginia, I mean come on, I know its mountains but it would have been nice to be able to stop. Anyways, I finally found one just over the W. VA/PA boarder in Waynesburg. It was a nice hotel with a great view. It was fairly cheap and they gave me a nice military discount. Here is the pic.

So it took me around 16 hours to make the trip which was just as it was, the weather was nice and traffic, other than one spot going from I-85 to I-77 was light.

I got to stay with a couple of my friends up in Rochester and they would be Steve "Why am I not mentioned in your Blogger" Saraceni, and Lisa "Channel switching Fun" Mosher. It was fun, we grabbed some food and just hung out. It was such a long drive I was not up to going and doing anything. I also went back to their apartment on Thursday and we went out to a resturant I think was called Champs. It was a nice sports bar with tons of TV screens so I was pretty much at home there. I had Blackened Chicken Alfrado, -the blackened part.

I picked up my daughter and we spend the next few days at my parents cottage, and now that I think about it I probably should have taken some pictures of that but, nope didn't. It's a nice place on Honeoy lake in Western NY. Just as me and my daughter pull up, she wants to go swimming. She visits up there alot with Grandma and Grampa so she knows everything there is to do there. Oh by the way she is 5 going on 6.

My dad bought her a little blow up boat so of course we had to go and try it out. We went into the lake it was a little chilly but otherwise a nice relaxing swim with me pulling her around then my dad. She loved it.

After the swim, she wanted to go on a bike ride. My dad took her twice the whole time and I took her 3 times. I was suprised how well I could ride since, 1. its been so long since I have and 2. I smoke like a chimney but didn't get tired. I guess its alot easier to keep up with a 5 year old than I thought.

Then when we got back she wanted to play with the hose outside. At this point I was like wow, she is like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and going. The rest of the night pretty much went like that until bed time.

The next day we ventured to the beach which was pretty uneventfull, she got to swim with a ongoing swim class that she found and had lots of fun and I sat my lazy butt out in my chair watching her.

Later that day my dad found out he had a new Fishing partner. She learned to cast that day, even though they didn't catch anything it was fun for her, and my father. I am not into fishing that much since I got older. I am more of the "Drive the boat, drink the beer" fishermen.

On Friday I took her to the beach again and we stayed for 4 hours. Now that was an accident. I thought the lifegards took breaks every hour so I thought I was only there for with her for 2 hours but oh nope, and I got burned pretty good. I did go out in the water that day, and I think that helped the redness on my back set in.

I then took off on Sat morning for my way back here and arrived Sun Afternoon. I had so much fun and I am going to miss my daughter so much and can't wait to see her when I get back from oversea's.

Thanks to everyone I talked to on the phone and saw when I was up to NY. It helps me to talk while I drive, not only does it keep me awake but also gives me something to do other than singing to the CD's I brought. which were.

11:58am... Bouncin Round the Room: Tobey Maguire snapped at a photographer for taking his picture. Chops told me that Tobey felt pictures shouldn't be taken until the final table. (This was posted at Tao of poker.com )

This I think is Justice for the photographer that got yelled at.

2:15pm... Tobey Maguire has left the building. He pushed all in on a flop with three clubs. He flopped a set with K-K. He was all in against A-A and Young Phan caught a four flush on the river. HA HA HA. Serves you right Mr. Maguire for bein an ass. (This was posted at Tao of poker.com )

Tao of Poker: A Poker Blog

Here is a very informative blog with WSOP 2005 updates. I have been searching trying to find someplace to satisfy my Poker info and this one has been the tops so far. There is a basic chip count as you go to the blog but also the entire chip count from yesterdsays 650 who moved on to Sunday.

Today is Day 2 and the 2nd set of hopefulls takes the tables hoping to last and be able to join the sunday crowd. I have my favorites as to who I think will win it and who I would like to see at the final table but as they say all it takes is a chip and a chair and any 2 cards could win.

I wish I could be there to watch, and even more so to play but I guess I shall have to wait my turn.

Last day (In the Military)

Well today is the day. I finally outprocess the base and I am done wearing my Pickle Suit (Green Uniform). I can not say that I did not enjoy my time in, if that were the case I would never have stayed for 10 years. But alas its time to move on to bigger and better things in my future.

So as of 0900 today I am free to do a few things such as:

1. Let facial hair grow. (Sounds funny but I rather like myself with a goatee and I think I am going to grow one)

2. Let Hair on my head grow. (Although I have become accustomed to short hair I now have that choice.)

3. Work out and exercise when I want to. (Probably should do that more I guess.)

Thats just a few things. Even though I am through I know that I am part of a club that not everyone else has, I am a veteran and I have seen my fair share of stuff over the last 10 years and had I not joined who knows where I would have been. I think I made the right decision.

In Other news.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is in full swing, or at least it was for the first 2000 contestants. The field was whittled down to 650 so they could end their night sometime after 2AM. There are a number of PokerStars folks competing something like 20%. If your not sure what Pokerstars is, it is a online card playing site that gives more than enough chances to get a buy in for this tournament. The entry fee is $10,000 which is a considerable amount of money, not to mention the hotel, air fare and everything else. But when someone wins on Pokerstars they get it paid for. The last 2 previous winners have been Pokerstars spokesman and I am sure if someone from Pokerstars doesn't win it this year they will be close.

Some notables that I believe are in the tournament.(I say I believe because they have not released names or chip counts yet.) James Wood, Jennifer Tilly, and Shannon Elizabeth(Yes the chick from American Pie).

I have heard that you can hob knob with the celebs there watching as well as playing and I think next year I might be making a trip to Vegas to see what its all about first hand.

London Terrorist Attack

I felt that I should at least comment on this tragic sequence of events that has happened in London this morning.

CNN report

So far it appears as though terrorist have attacked the London subway system and a double decked bus. This happened as the city begun its morning and its unsuspecting civilians were heading to work.

Every news program and news web site seems to be reporting on its developments. There are also literally hundreds of blogs reporting on this also, me being probably 101.

First let me tell you a little about my background before I comment on this act of terrorism.

I have been in the US Air Force for the last 10 years or almost 10 years so anytime terrorism hits pretty much anywhere in the world I am aware of it. More so when it directly affects me in my everyday life, job, future. I was very aware during Operation Desert Fox when we bombed Iraq and deployed to Kuwait back in 98, I was also very aware in 99 when the whole Kosovo conflict was in full swing, I was in Italy and Germany during the duration working with the F117A folks out of Holloman AFB. I was also in Saudi Arabia during Iraqi Freedom for around 7 months. I don’t want to go as far as I am used to stuff like this or expecting it to happen, but most if not all military are very wary of any country that does not like us or does not like the things we do. We are always on guard for acts like this.

Unfortunately the public is not.

When 9-11 hit, everyone was blown away at how such a thing could happen. I agree that was what everyone should have thought, and as a great country that we are we banded together and made a stand and went after terrorism full force which was what we should have done.

Then a few months’ later things died down. Then a year later, we were remembering those who died on the 1-year anniversary. Now 4 years later, its a distant memory with Iraqi Freedom waning in the news, (Even though people die every day there.) and the only time Afghanistan is in the news is when something other than normal attacks and deaths happens such as the Navy Seals who were lost.

We as a society get complacent, and its not the societies fault we would rather not think about it. But the threat is there and in our face every day. This attack on London, no matter how terrible and horrific, has probably been in the process for a long time, just waiting for our guard to drop just enough. When I say our, I mean us and our allies against terrorism.

We, need to realize that there are people out there who don’t care that you work in an office, or you clean the toilets at burger king, or that your some rich lawyer who has more money than they could spend in a lifetime. They target anyone they can get their hands one. Young, old, big, small, religious denomination and race make no difference to these people. It's supposed to be a statement that tells the world, don't mess with us we will do what we have to. Which is the truth they don’t care. They don’t even care about their own welfare as most attacks are the terrorists them selves with the bombs on their persons.

My heart goes out to those hurt by the bombing and those close to anyone involved. I hope that we take this as yet another sign of what is going on in the world.

Keep our eyes open, and our ears to the ground.

Oh I had to add this after I watched a few minutes of CNN on television. CNN reports, "England Security had no warning on attacks" well I would have to say that 9-11 was the warning how serious terrorism is.

Venting

Ok I have to get this off my chest.

I have been sitting here for a little while hitting that "next blog" button and just looking around and there are a few things that I feel the need to address. These are my Top 10 annoying things I find when searching for blogs.

1. Do we really have to make such an absorbanant amount of ads telling me about cheap airline tickets, or discount viagra?

2. Removing your "Next Blog" button. Look if it wasn't for that button your little piece of cyber space probably would only be visited by yourself and your loser friends, keep it there.

3. Music on your site. I think its cool that you figured out by the grace of probably cutting and pasting from someone else’s site how to add music, but for gods sakes, if I wanted to listen to music I would have some on. At least give the reader a choice to either listen or not. I can not speak for anyone else but when I hit one with music, I immediately click, "Next Blog" unless it doesn't have one,(See # 2) Other wards I click back.

4. Editing your "Next Blog" to open new window and keeping yours open. Look A-hole, if we wanted to stay on your page we wouldn't have clicked "Next Blog". That’s like forcing someone to stay in your store when they want to leave and order stuff out of another store's catalog. Sort of..

5. Ok, is it me or does every blog out of Japan, or china, been edited with caricatures or elaborate pictures that take up the whole screen. Then have a tiny chat window, and links? I am not discriminate in any way but a word of advice, simple is so much better, Its great that you figured out how to add a chat to your page and upload some great art that you probably didn't create but use a chat program and just keep the page to update for your friends, there are tons of them out there, AIM, Yahoo, MSN, pick one.

6. Stop making pages say, testing.. write something worth reading and use that as the test. Its not a microphone, its a web page.

7. Pop ups. Stop using them they are annoying, yes I know its easy to click ok, when you say welcome to my site, or This is my blog blah blah blah, its slows things down. Its bad enough I have to wait a minute and a half for a burrito, I don’t want anything hindering my blog surfing experience either.

8. (This is more for E-blogger) Why cant you split the blogs into sections, such as, Comedy, or Serious, or maybe parts of the world or languages, I can not read anything other than English and it would be nice to narrow my surfing to those sites.

9. Making funky transitions, or changing my mouse. Moving from one page to another should be smooth and quick, "Click" bam the next page is up, no sweeping away the previous page, or darkening to the next, just click and move on. That and my mouse is a little arrow just like I like it, no butterflies, no stars no anything but my arrow, you like that crap then use it on your own computer.

10. I can't think of a 10th thing at this moment but if I do I will come back and add it to this. So really its my 9 annoying things I find searching for blogs.

To all those who have simple pages with interesting writing or pictures, then congrats and I will visit your pages often and sometimes adding my 2 cents, and please feel free to tell me what you really think about mine.

My breakfast experience

This morning I thought I would treat myself to some breakfast since lets face it I am too lazy to cook for myself. I took off in search of a nice restaurant in which to have my breakfast experience.

I do not want to name the establishment that I ate at so I will only refer to them as WH.

Anyways, I enter Waffle House and since its busy I am forced to take up residence at the bar they have. You know the one I am referring to. It has the mile high chairs and is smack in the middle of the place usually right next to the cash register so that everyone who comes up to pay can watch over your shoulder as you eat your breakfast choices. I was lucky I was at the other end of the counter; the next thing was the booth where this old man was tidying up his feast area. I was guessing he was either retired or owned the place, he seemed to know all the waitresses by name and they all stopped by to say hello.

The waitress came over and took my order, hhmmmm well even though this is the Waffle House, I am not really in the mood for waffles, and to tell you the truth I am not a big fan. So I choose the Omelet and Hash browns, Scattered and no I do not want anything else on them. I also choose sausage and toast which really wasn't a choice it comes with the meal, I said thank you (which I have learned is not only polite but also helps with your dining experience if you say it. Thanks Waiter Rant for pointing that out for the Diningly Challenged)

She dashes off to yell the order in. Which I thought was funny, the cook was right behind her swamped because it was busy and she walks down to the last booth and then proceeds to yell out the order.

"Scattered"
"Omelet, Ham Cheese plated"
"Sausage"
"White"

The cook didn't even give her a second glance and went off into his cooking frenzy. So I sit there and drink my coke, which I also ordered but she didn’t need to yell that out, she ended up getting it for me. I watched him grab heaping hands full of hash browns tossing them on the grill with a hiss. Then frying up some bacon, and eggs and grits (If your from up north you might not know what those are but I could not explain it to you either as I am from up north and have not gotten to courage up to try any myself, but according to the movie "My Cousin Vinnie" it takes any self respecting southerner 20 minutes to prepare).

He has yet to start my omelet, that’s ok I know it only takes a few minutes. He then throws my cup of eggs in the blender and throws my ham on the grill.. More hissing sounds.

"Uh Mr. cook there, my hash brows seem to be hissing louder than most other things on the grill, could you please check them" I say to myself.

Then the phone rings and the cook answers it. Phone is covered with god only knows what since its right next to the grill, but whatever lets put all that crap in our ear and next to our face.

"Uh hash browns, wait not only the hash browns now the ham is sizzling and turning black, hang up the dam phone and cook, who cares who is working tonight, tell them to come in and check." I say staring at the grill, which is in plain view now because mr. cook is on the side talking on the phone while 3 or 4 orders are coming up.

Ok, now I don’t want anyone to think I am berating this man, I have been a bus boy, a Dish washer, a cook and a waiter in my many years of being alive on this planet and I know that these things happen, but when I see them happening right in front of me, well I think they need to be more careful is all.

Finally whom ever was taking up MY cooks time hangs up. All right, hash browns are actually turning black, ham is already black and my omelet is now stewing in its pan waiting for the ham and cheese to join it.

Wait just a darn minute.

Why is that toast that suddenly appeared on my plate black also. Is there some sort of theme here, is this a Cajun restaurant, did they change the theme on me over the last few minutes.

"Miss"

"Yes" the waitress,says.

"Could I ask that my toast not be burnt like that piece right there on that plate, and those in the pile on the shelf?"

"Oh those are dark wheat toast for someone else, don’t worry" She says scratching something in her pad.

"Oh Ok, thanks"

She dashes off.

So I sit as the cook finally flops the omelet that is now in 3 pieces on my plate and heaps the burnt hash browns down and wait, uh oh forgot the sausage..

The waitress grabs some fresh toast butters it and brings it over.

"Your sausage will be ready in a moment" She says sliding it over to me as I just stare at it. I can see the burnt pieces of ham protruding through the surface, I don’t say a word.

"You don’t want it do you?" She asks, knowing full well I didn't. Normally I would explain why, but I think when she actually took a look at it she knew why.

"No, not really" I say trying not to seem like I am better and deserve a edible breakfast. She takes it away as I say "Thank you"

I hear her tell the cook, "he doesn't want it." she says sliding it on the counter, he doesn't say a word just grabs a few more eggs and throws them in the blender.

He slaps some more hash browns down and more ham. Now it seems like the big orders have all been taken and he has more time to concentrate. I know that was only the problem. I know it gets busy and I don't want to be too much of a bother, but I would like to eat it and enjoy it, or at least most of it.

Anywho, he cooks it and once again the ham is burned, I don’t say a word, and this time the toast is that burnt stuff I saw on the counter. The omelet is only broken in 2 places this time but the hash browns were superb. Really that is the only reason I go there. To be honest I should have just ordered hash browns they are yummy, when cooked right, even the sausage was alright since he remembered to cook it this time.

I munched down the toast and omelet, well most of it, some of the ham I just could not get chewed, and I know it sounds gross but had to take it out of my mouth and dispose of it. Everything else was pretty good.

The waitress comes grabs the plates, and doesn't even ask why I didn't finish the omelet. I didn't feel the need to explain either I am sure she was thinking, "Oh shit, his tip is going to be horrible."

But as I stated earlier, I was once in her shoes, well not her shoes, they would never have fit, but the shoes of a waiter. I tipped her almost 2.60 on a 8 dollar charge. I was grateful she spared me having to explain why I was not happy the first time and immediately tried to make things right. She tried her best and I hope that the cook will try harder but when its busy I understand sometimes that’s how it goes.

Who knows maybe I will take another trip to there in the future, but I am defiantly not getting the omelet and not getting toast, I think I will just stick to what I know is good.

Bush gets even for London taking the Olympics

Bush Bites it Biking

It appears today that President Bush had yet another accident on his mountain bike this time in Scotland. He was out on his customary ride and collided with a British Police Officer.

It would seem to me that maybe he should just give up riding his bike or maybe he can get one of those tandem bikes and let the Secret Service guys steer.

Neither was hurt, the Police officer was escorted to the hospital where the whilte house physician overlooked his treatment. He escaped with only minor bruises no broken or fractured bones he was treated and released.

I find it ironic that:

1. Its the day after London is named by the Olympic Committee to hold the 2012 games there.

2. President Bush and Prime Minister Blair differ on the Global Warming Issue.

3. The Spice Girls have not had a Album in nearly a decade. (Bush is a huge Spice Girls fan)

I see some sort of personal revenge against the British by our President. I wonder if he was coming around the corner saw the British Police officer and said to himself.

"This will teach you to take our games, and we are right about the whole warming thing my guys keep telling me, and dammit, the Spice Girls are GREAT!"

Then hit the officer.

Of course it all could have been some freak accident. The British Police officer should have known that President Bush is not a very good bike rider and took appropriate actions when he was coming into his general direction. Makes ya sit and wonder and go, hhhmmmmmm.

Well if it was in fact a small amount of retrobution then so be it. Although I am wondering what Tony Blair has in store the next time he visits our country. Perhaps he will shove an old woman down some stairs.

On a more serious tone, I hope that everyone hurt or affected by the bombs in London are alright and make full recoveries. I hope those responsible are caught and punished to every extent possible.

SI Tour De France Coverage

I am not going give you the play by play if you want it then click on the CNN/SI link and go from there.

I do find it a great feat to be winning once again which would make this his 7th win if he succeeds. Of course the French don't want him to, he seems to come over to their country then make them all seem like 3 year olds on tricycles. But hey, if you don’t like it, TOO BAD.

There was some controversy though this morning as the race was to begin. Lance did not want to don the Yellow jersey, which is what the race leader customarily wears. The reason which I think is pretty valid was that the previous leader David Zabriskie, a Team CSC rider who fell coming around one of the turns in the course; He is also a fellow American.

Lance's thinking I believe is that its kind of a crappy way to take the lead. Now I understand why he thinks this, he is a nice guy and very competitive and probably would have rather won it in a all out race rather than a crash.

Now had it been me, I would have been like "Too bad, so sad, later" as I zoomed to victory. I guess had I won 6 previous tours I might think differently also.

Nah, I would have been gone not looking back.

This is not the first time that this has happened in the tour previous riders have decided not to wear the yellow jersey and have gotten away with it, but not Lance. The tour director basically gave him an ultimatum, either you wear the jersey or you don’t race. Lance reluctantly agreed to wear the jersey and went on to win today’s leg of the race, growing ever closer to winning his 7th.

Did you know that the race is like 3 weeks long. My god they must be tired as hell after that. I get tired just writing that its 3 weeks long I could not imagine having to race that long. But I guess that is why these guys are the elites of the bicycle racing world.

I hope that Lance does make this his 7th tour win. He has stated that he will retire or probably will retire after this tour and he probably should if anything to give the rest of the guys in the world a shot at it.

Oh on a side note and not sure if anyone actually fact checks my blog entries. I don’t claim to know everything that i write about, I just like to give my opinion. If I get something wrong then chances are I didn’t read the entire article all the way through or don’t really care. So either way if you get a chuckle or learn something new then all the better. Lil Kim Sentenced

Well you heard it first, not from me, probably saw it on television or on MSNBC, which is where I read about it.

That is correct calling her a female rapper right? I don't really listen to her, the only thing that comes to mind when I think of Lil Kim is that outfit she wore to the MTv awards with one of her boobies covered in some star or something, pretty out there for that time, this was pre-Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction.

Ms. Kim was found guilty of lying to the grand jury about a shooting. Her sentencing was this morning and she has been sentenced to 1 year and a day. I wonder what the day was for. She is also being fined $50,000 and will be doing 3 years of parole when she is released.

She is very lucky she could have gotten 20 years for her crime. Ya know it's amazing how differently the court systems work when you are on different sides of the US. Had she been in LA she probably would have gotten away with it. But since it was in NY she was found guilty. Just imagine if MJ's trial was in NY.

She did say before the sentencing that she was wrong to lie and at the time she thought it was the right thing to do. I mean I have some pretty close friends but when it comes to Jail time and No jail time, they are on their own. (sorry to my friends who read this but its the truth) I will surely come visit you should that ever happen. I will sneak ya in some smokes or something.

She is required to report to prison on the 19th of September.

Ok Hold on...

How come when a celebrity such as MJ or Lil Kim or Martha get arrested and go to court and are found guilty and sentenced (MJ excluded) They have to report to prison on a specific date.

My god if Joe bagadonuts gets caught say using forgery or something along those lines they don’t get the choice, it's your sentenced to 1 year bailiff take him away. Sometimes star power is too much power if you ask me. I say if they are guilty then from that point on after sentencing it’s off to the big house. I am sure the delay was to get her affairs in order, well she didn’t think of her affairs before she broke the law, why start now.

Ok now I think I am just venting but today I think the justice system is severely flawed in many ways. I am not a lawyer but it seems like justice is not done in some cases. I know allot of it is fancy lawyers and tactics to get clients off and the laws are there to protect everyone not just the victims but also the accused if there is such a thing in this day and age with media and the internet and even blogs now. I think we are moving away from the idea of how the justice system was supposed to work.

I guess that is my 2 cents or more like a quarter.

World Series of Poker

Just wanted everyone to know who doesn't already know that the WSOP 2005 is in full swing, well almost. The actual WSOP starts on Thursday with a buy in of $10,000 but the prize money is I believe around 10 million but I could be wrong and probably am.

I am not sure who else watches it on ESPN but I do and to me its cool but then again I play it quite often. This week has been pretty exciting as far as wins go. The actress Jennifer Tilly won her tournament for a cool $158,335, of course it helps when you’re dating one of the top poker players Phil “Unabomber” Laak, I am sure some of it rubbed off, not taking anything away from Jennifer I heard she was good before and this proves it.

Also 2 veterans of the poker world won their 10th bracelets, Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson both won tournaments to become the 1st and 2nd in history to win 10 bracelets. In case you were wondering, whenever someone wins a tournament they receive a bracelet. It’s a lot harder than it seems when the tournaments usually last for more than a day sometimes 2 or 3. The WSOP lasts from the 7th to the 15th.

There are many other events that are played over a couple of weeks leading up to the main event. Some have small buy-ins such as $500 and go all the way up to $10K (WSOP). The payout also reflects the buy-in, usually in the hundreds of thousands of dollars per tournament.

I think it would be so cool to sit in on a game of those professionals. I think I am an alright No Limit Texas Holdem player however I don’t read players as well as they do. There are so many “Tells” that players have it gives the pro’s a advantage. When I say “Tells” I mean ways someone can tell if you have a good hand or a bad hand, or if your bluffing. There are so many strategies to use when playing the possibilities are endless however, you have to tailor them to the vibe of the table.

I tend to play pretty tight in the beginning not playing a lot of hands. When the blinds increase I get more aggressive and usually last after the first couple of breaks, sometimes ending up in the money and sometimes not.

Addicted to Celebrities

I think that in this day and age we are in fact addicted to the Rich and Famous. How many times have you thought to yourself, what if I was this person or that person or even just in the same situation?

I know I have on more than one occasion. I like to watch movies and think to myself, I could have played that part or I would have been perfect for that show. I did some browsing of various blogs that had to do with celebrities and famous folks and will provide a list of what I found at the end of this so everyone can enjoy them as much as I have.

I found in my search that the topics of discussion vary from site to site however there are a few favorites. Lindsay Lohan, and Britney and Kevin seem to be the flavor of the last few months. Many many many pictures of Lohan with her losing weight and rumors of cocaine abuse, to pregnant Brit and her new hubby lounging or driving or doing various un-eventful stuff that I guess is news worthy. It also seems like Mr. Spears (he should take her name) seems to be the point of most joking. It seems like the planet doesn’t see how she made that choice.

I have thought about acting and I think I would be pretty good but did you know there are like over 200,000 actors (probably way more world wide) and only like 12% get work. The average pay for a actor is like 29K a year. Now you would think that those making the millions and millions per movie or show would make that average go up but think about it, if they are making those millions and the average is still that low then there must be a lot of out of work actors out there. I did some research and it’s almost worth it to just make your own movie and hope that it goes somewhere than get into acting. Its actually tough, and I am not talking about the job it self just getting to be a paid actor. First you have to be a Union actor to get the better jobs and for more money.

Now there are non-union actors for like independent films and stuff but if you want anything SAG related you need to be a member of that unless you want to be a Extra which is possible but doesn’t pay that much as a non-union actor. There are various ways to become a member of SAG but I am not going into them, if you want go ahead and search away.

Anyways, I think that we all have some sort of envy for those who are famous or rich and hope that someday we get our 15 minutes of fame or even have enough money to retire or live comfortably. I am not sure what I want but I know that whatever it is I hope its exciting.

Well as you can tell its been a month since I last posted. There is alot going on but nothing I want to talk about here. I have been working on a few things, my book is still in the works, haven't thought of a name yet still in the editing phase.

I have also begin a movie script. I don't want to give too much up here so I will just say it's a dark comedy that has to do with Hit Men and High school students. It is sure to be a hit and if I can't find someone to make it into a movie then perhaps I will do some research and shoot it myself. I mean its been done right, Good Will Hunting, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, those were independents and went on to gross millions. Not saying that would be the case but I am just saying its possible to bring ones imagination to the screen without the power of big time studio exec's.

I have been reading a few other blogs that I found really interesting and I am going to try to add them to my links section for all otherst o view.

Tonight as usual was is a boring night. Not much to do, I fixed a guy I work with's computer. Just need a reload and some basic troubleshooting. Then I read some blogs and watched a movie or 2. This all filled with sporadic cigarette breaks outside. As I was outside I saw my friend the spider who hangs out by the window of the hallway leading outside. He himself is outside but I see him each night out on the prowl for food. Its funny, every night I work I go out there and see him there just waiting for his moment, very patient the guy is and every night I sit and watch and think tonight I am going to make him move with a stick or rock or something, yet I dont. I guess I think if I leave him alone he will leave me alone.

I know it seems kind of funny me talking to a spider but when you work by yourself at 3 or 4 in the morning any kind of self amusement is appreciated.

Well that is about all I have to report up to this point. I will try to get my lazy butt on here more and write about what else is happening in my world.

So I hope things have been going good on your end, mine has been pretty good so far, still getting out of bed so things aren't so bad huh?

I was watching Fight Club today and as you may or may not know they swear alot in the movie and since this version was on TV they replace those words with other words. Take for instance this line. "The give us money, to buy shit that we dont need." I began to think as they replaced the line with "They give us money to buy CARS we dont need." Cant they find some words that are at least close to the original, like for instance Shat. Can they say shat on tv. How about Funkin instead of the F word, or Icehole instead of that word. Wouldn't it make more sense that way at least it appears as though its still the original, but when they replace words with something totally different, I don't know maybe its just me but it seems to take away from the impact of the lines.

Well that was my thought for today, it just popped into my head and I thought I would put my 2 cents out there to see what people think. But really I dont give a Funkin Shat about anyone's opinion. See it works, maybe I am on to something.

Star Wars Crap

I sat here and wrote out all these cool questions that I would like to ask George Lucas about the movies he made but I hit backspace and it went to the prervious page and I lost it. I guess Karma interviened and my questions are not meant to be asked.

I have been watching the other episodes in preparation for the final episode which as you know starts tonight at midnight. I for one would like to see it but I think I will wait until the excitement dies down at the box office before I buy my ticket. But it does look like a movie that has to be seen in the theater.

Sorry I have not commented in a few days I guess I didnt have anything to say, or maybe it was the fact I was too lazy to log on and post. Either way not much happened. I was viewing other blogs and figured I should write something so that those who do read this have something to read.

The job hunt is still on, I got a few leads but nothing concrete. I keep thinking that maybe my resume is not good enough or maybe just my experience. I would hope that after 10 years I could find a job pretty easy but so far that is not the case. I still do have 2 months before I get out of the military and I know the way the military goes, employers are more apt to wait because they dont want to hire someone then that person has to stay in unvoluntarily. They are just scared that it will happen and sometimes does. But the search continues.

I watched a few new movies over the last week or so, I watched Blade Trinity and The Life Aquatica with Bill Murray. Blade Trinity was pretty good, I liked some of the comic relieve in this sequel. You would have to rent it to understand what I mean when I say that, but I think this one was one of the better of the series. They left the ending open so they could add to it if they chose to, although I dont think that would be a good Idea, its been done to death, let Blade die out for his own good.

The Life Aquatica, was a interesting movie. It was in my opinion alot like Bill's last move which I only watched the first 20 minutes of I just could not get into it, I could not even tell you the name of it to be honest. But I think that Bill is going through a phase or perhaps he just needs a break. I read in an article that he just finished another movie and is taking a break. Good for you Bill, your work has been the basis for so many comedic actors and movies. We should all thank you for the many movies you have contributed to the art. Good luck on your next movie and we all hope you get the rest that you desirve.

Lets face it he is not getting any younger. I am one of the Old SnL fans when Eddie Murphy was on, and Chevy Chase and all the old cast. I watched SnL this weekend and believe me, funny it was not. There was on skit with WIll Farrel that was funnny, him as Alex Trabeck but other than that they were not very funny at all. Searching for laughs in a sea of uncomfortableness. I could not imagine being in the live audience. Do they feel they have to laugh even if its not funny? I mean I understand that half of the excitement is being in the live audience but does that make the show funnier? I just could not get into the show and have not really been able to for a very long time. Sure they have moments when they are funny, I am a big Adam Sandler fan, he is very funny and was on SnL as well as David Spade. Sure they had a pretty funny show but to go as far as to say its as funny as the cast so many years prior would be going to far.

Perhaps it all has to do withe censoring? I know when they were doing skits back with Eddie Murphy and his cast mates, they could get away with alot more than they can today. Back then it was taboo but not illegal and didnt cost the show hundreds of thousands of dollars. In my opinion they are going to far with censorship. I mean I grew up with the same television as everyone else and I seemed to have developed fine. I agree that certain things should not be on television and at certain times more than others children should not watch but isn't that up to the parents to make sure they are not watching it? Ok well enough of me complaining about this. Fact is that the old SnL casts are and will always be funnier than the casts now.

A Waiter's Rant

Today’s post I am going to tell you about this hilarious blog. It is what I can only describe as the rantings of a waiter. Reading that blog got me to thinking what if I turned my career over the last 10 years into a rant about the military. If you do not know me or you are a new guest I have been in the military for the last 10 years and soon within a month or so I should be making my exit. Not sure what I am going to do after, but I hope it’s a job of some sort.

As I began to reminisce about the early days when I first joined and the stories that I could tell, I also thought of how I am getting paid by taxpayers hard earned money that they had to give up. So once I realized that I want the general public to still have faith in me and in the military. So that pretty much helped me keep my mouth shut. Once I get out of the military there will be stories o’ plenty I promise.

Just some quick info, I am in the United States Air Force and they are in no way shape or form affiliated with this blog other than the fact that I work for them. Everything I write is my own opinion.

I would also like to add and this is for the waiterrant author, if you do eat out please tip at least the 15% or more, he has a point they make their living off of the tips definitely not the minimum wage. (I at one time was a dishwasher, busboy, and waiter many years ago so I can relate.)

Also if you see someone whom you know has been in the military perhaps years ago or even as recent as a week ago, please thank them especially those that served in any conflict. They risked their lives totally voluntarily and I am willing to bet would gladly do so again. Then after you have thanked them ask them about any funny moments they had while in the military, I am willing to bet that each one has at least one story and would be glad to share.

Big Bang Theory

Ok bare with me on this subject but I had an idea while I was reading one of Stephen Hawkings lectures. I know, dont ask me why I was reading it, the other night I was bored and looked up his name and started reading, anyways, here was my idea.

Stephen Hawkings in his lecture "The Beginning of Time" he discusses how the Universe is something like 15 Billion years old. He says that you can actually trace the planets back to where they started. If we were able to draw a line from the point that the Big Bang occured to now we would see the solarsystems moving away from that point as they have done over the 15 Billion years. Ok like I said bare with me on this, its way way over my head but I do have a point.

So given that idea, if there was infact a big bang, and the universe was created and it moved away from each other, would it not make sense that somewhere in the Universe about the same distance away from the original Big bang there would be a planet like ours?

Ok let me break my thought down like this. If you blow up a firecracker, where do all the pieces go? They go outward. So if the outer surface of that fircracker contained the building blocks for life. Then that same firecracker was blown up those building blocks would go off in differnt directions one of those pieces helped start the earth, but what about the rest of the firecracker, those pieces also went outward only in different directions. Wouldn't it be fair to say they too could possibly begin as our world did? Maybe?

Ok like I said I am not expert but in my own head it makes sense. Granted I am not a scientist or a.... well whatever a guy who knows about that space stuff is, but to me it makes perfect sense.

Ok enough ramblings, now I will finish the lecture and see how my theory is totally wrong, because I didnt actually finish the lecture I just got that thought and had to write about it.

Well I have been continuing to to write, over the last 2 days I have written 4 chapters which I think went pretty good. I have been doing some research on writing exercises such as just writing and then going back and cleaning up. So I did that and before I knew it I was flying through chapters.

Today I should be sleeping but you know me, I got my mind to start doing something and could not stop myself. Today it was looking up information on publishing houses, and literary agents. I found a few good leads sent for some info and i will wade through all that when I am ready to actually start sending out my manuscript.

I am sure some authors would think that I should not put it out on the web for everyone to see but I look at it like this. I guess perhaps I think maybe someone will stumble upon my work and say great let me give you my info. Who knows I am not really sure, but I know I am enjoying my creative release and hopefully if you are reading it, you are too.

The other thing that has kept me up for the better part of today, and that is I was working on my book cover. I think it came out good but then again i made it. I am not sure if this will end up on the cover but so far this is it.

Ok well that is about it for today I think I am going to lay down and get some well deserved shut eye. That way I can get those creative juice's recharged and perhaps write a few chapters tonight since I am off.

My Job Interview for the Death star

A couple of weeks ago at work, we decided to watch the movie Clerks,
which if you haven't seen it you should cause its hillarious. One of the parts in the movie was talking about how one of the characters watched Return of the Jedi, and how the Death Star was not completed but in the process of being built when it was destroyed. Then the question was posed, what about the workers. A project of that magnitude would surely need to have some sort of outside contracting to completed the job. Then today, right now as a matter of fact, I am watching "Return of the Jedi" and I began to think, "I need a job, perhaps I could get work there."

Well let me first tell you that the job process has not advanced since the invention of the land speeder and intergalactic hyperspeed travel. I still had to submit my resume' and a application and something called a holographic idetity card, I assumed that was a picture of my drivers license so I sent that in. I reacieved a reply almost immediatly which was nice, although the guy who called was speaking some freaky dialect and the only thing I could get out of the conversation was a time to meet and hitch a ride on some transport ship.

Everyone seemed pretty nice when I arrived at the ship, it was quite big, cold but then again traveling into space is probably not going to be the warmest so I was sure the wear a jacket, I wish they would have warned me but being as I try to be prepared I brought one anyways.

My first impression of the ship was very orderly. The Uniforms were pretty cool, altough I am not a big fan of Grey, but apparenlty that was what their boss said they had to wear. This guy has a real complex, he makes all the workers call him Emporor or something, maybe I heard it wrong but anyways that would never go in my book, but at the same time I wanted to keep my mind open and just go with the flow.

They brought all the applicants to this big room with a long table to wait for our interviews. I felt like I was perhaps over dressed, I mean now many people come in costumes, there was one guy who looked all fuzzy and kept making disgusting sounds throughout our weight but I just tried to ignore him. It's amazing how you can make networking possibilities when your waiting around. This one guy I talked to, I think, and this is not lie, his name was asshole, said something about the planet Druidia, and working on some ship for a while until it was destroyed so once again he is on the job hunt, but did give me some nice leads to consider. He was a pilot, pretty cool but had a horrible cross eyed problem. Anyways it was soon my turn to go into the interview.

Ok so I go in and there is no one in there, so of course I just sit down and this big silver ball thingy comes over to me and hovers over my head. So I am thinking great now what, and the damn thing pops out a needle and takes my blood. I am guessing that its for the drug test but I mean come on you could have asked first. Then it just floats away out the door as a large black man enteres breathing heavy, kind of like he ran down the hall. At first I was thinking maybe he just needs some more exercise but, then I was flattered that he rushed to make sure he wasn't late for our appointment. He strolls in almost gliding, and he was wearing a Cape. Was today costume day or something, I mean capes were out so long ago, in the 20's I think but hey whatever floats this guys boat right?

He just stands there staring at me for a little while, I try to introduce himself but he just holds his hand up and motions for me to sit down. It was weird but I felt like I was being pushed down, then I thought maybe I was just nervous. He then in this really deep voice asks my name which I tell him and he shakes his head, "Yes I have heard of you". I am thinking great this is good, maybe now I can finally get a job. Or at least line one up. He asks who my parents are and where I grew up and some other questions about, alliances, and who I was working with. I was kind of confused but I answered the best that I could I hope I was slick enough to fake my way through some of his questions.

It was kind of tough to concentrate with him breathing so loudly, kind of freaked me out, it was almost like he was getting excited or something. Not once did he start asking me about my skills or anything which I thought was weird but hey, he is the one doing the interview. Then just as suddenly as he entered he just turns and leaves. He doesn't ask me anything else, doesn't say thank you, just walks out. I was kind of ataken back, how rude was that. Then as I am reveling at how much I really dont need to be treated that way, another person dressed in their uniforms of grey enters to let me know that he didn't think my resume' was up to the standard that they were looking for. He asked me if I was familiar with holographic communications equipment, whcih I of course replied,"Oh sure I work on that all the time" knowing full well that I am completely lieing my ass off, but I was always told just say yes, and learn it as you go along.

He asks for my intergalactic passport as well as how many credits I would like for the completion if I was infact offered the possition. I had no idea what he was talking about but I assured him that I left it on my coffee table when I left in the morning and then asked him credit for what and could I exchange that Credit for money. He just laughed and showed me to the door and back to the supply ship so I could make my journey home.

Well to make a long story short, I am glad that I didn't get the job on the deathstar which was probably a good thing too. I was told that many workers were hurt in the process, some just for lack of safety equipment they just floated off into space never to be heard from again. Apparently their safety record was not that impressive, I guess next time I should do more research. I also heard that one of the contractors made a disasterous mistake and ended up blowing up the entire thing, well that was just a rumor but who knows. Who knows perhaps the Emprire(company Name) will offer some more job openings in the future, till then I will be forced to look for something here on Earth.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little short rantings, I thought it would make for a funny story although I am not sure how well it was written. That is the great thing about comments you can tell me. Be honest, but nice.

A dream I had

Well today I layed down for a nap before I had to work tonight and had one very strange dream. I do have to say that it was the most vivid dreams I have had in so long. Everything in it seemed so real and like I was actually there. Perhaps that is a good sign that my creative juices are flowing. If that is what is happening then that is great, if not then I can do without them and after I finish telling you the dream you hopefully will understand why.

The Dream,

Well it seemed to go right into it, you know one of those how did I get here, which was exactly what I was thinking, almost like I couldnt believe it. Anyways I was all of a sudden at work and listening to my boss tell me that I had to go to Iraq to do something for some DV (distinguished Visitor) and that I was leaving and I had better make sure I had my Blues when I got there. I think part of my confusion was that I have never and probably will never do that in real life. It was like I knew it was a dream but for some reason my mind would not give it up.

Then I flashed to me packing my suitcases, which incidentally were the same as the ones on Meet the Folkers, I guess cause I watched it a few times over my days off. I watched 2 new movies but I will write about those later.

Ok back to the dream, well the plane ride and everything else seemed to just pass and next thing I know I am standing in a hotel, that seems to be the dorms for the soldiers. I am surrounded by many other soldiers all in Desert Camo, and going about their business, reading, watching TV, so on and so forth. I look out what appears to be double glass doors and the street is alive with Iraqi's. They are dressed in their normal garb, you can tell by the looks of the buildings that they have been in the war torn country for some time and somehow survived. I walked out the doors and could see everyone walking around just like you see on TV when they show the Iraqi people, this I gather was probably from seeing the news on occaision.

I am then called inside by someone who i can only assume is running things and he gives me a room assignment in which I have to find and it is on one of the upper floors. Then things seems to go pretty fast at this point.

Well I remember throwing my suitcase on the bed and going down stairs and seeing people eating on some room, sorry about not getting specific, it was like I said fast and hazy. The next thing I know I am in the basement. It seems like most of the people are down here, playing board games, talking on the phone just hanging out. There were males and females everyone had on Desert camo clothes well pants and Brown T-shirts. This part seemed to last longer than the rest, I could see the TV on with the news, and a few soldiers playing foosball and everyone just seemed to try to stay busy. There was sort of a dull roar but quiet, does that make sense?

Well I am just walking then I hear what I can only assume is Retreat playing on some speaker. Then someone grabs me by the shoulder and forces me to sit down, I see that is a woman and she tells me that when they start playing that we have to sit down flat on our butts with your legs extended out, backs of our knees on the floor and palms flat on the floor at our sides. I know this really sound weird but I am not makin it up.

The song is playing on the loud speakers but I find myself not paying attention to that and only hear one of the female soldiers crying as this is going on. She is really upset and a few other soldiers are consoling her and everyone around her seems to have just gotten some bad news. Then at that moment it occured to me that someone she knew must have died. It was at this point that a few things occured to me.

The first of which was does anyone realize what these guys are going through. I am not talking about the danger, of course everyone realizes this and the crappy living situations they are in but what about the way these brave souls have to live and fight on a daily basis and even if one of their friends dies they still have to go to work and do their duty. The thought hit me like a ton of bricks. I mean I know these guys are going through alot but that never occured to me until that moment.

Then as the music stops a voice comes on the speaker and says that its lights out and everyone needs to go to their rooms for the night. So we are all hearded out as those people sit and console the girl and I walk by and make brief eye contact and I can tell she is really disturbed by the whole thing. I tried to think, maybe she just realize that hearing retreat sound was like she was letting him retreat out of her mind, or his soul retreating to someplace else. Or maybe because retreat is usually at the end of the duty day, to her it represented that is duty day was over and would never happen again.

After that I get out into this hall still thinking about all of this when I realize that I forgot my dress blues that I was told to bring with me. I am almost shoved all the way up to my room as I am trying to fight my way back down the stairs that are now packed with people, I am being told that I need to go to my room and all that, but somehow I convince them to let me pass so I can find someone in charge to figure out what to do.

I find that guy who told me where my room is and explain the situation to him, he says that he doesnt know alot about what I am to do tomorrow just that some bigshot is coming and I am to escort him to some briefing in uniform.

Then I am on the phone talking to my parents to have them ship my blues to me so I can wear them, but I am worried that they will get lost in the mail. That part didnt make sense since my blues are here in GA and my parents are in NY.

It was at that point that my dog licked my arm and woke me up.

This like I said was so vivid and seemed so real, it was like I could hear everything, see everything and even smell. It was in color which I am not sure if that is normal I usually dont remember my dreams that often. But this one was amazing. I know that dreams mean stuff that is usually hidden inside of our subconscience but I dont think I really want to analyze it. I do think that after it I have more of a profound respect for those fighting in Iraq. I already had alot and now even more.

Well that was my dream. Ok I am going to do some more work and I will probably log back on later to add some more stuff to this post.

New book

Well I am 3 chapters on my way to my next book. I realize most of you have not read my first one. I am still in the editing phase, adding somestuff, re-arrangeing others ya know the hard part. Well my next one is being writting and submitted on my other blogger for review. http://spnbabook.blogspot.com.

I mentioned a little about it in my last entry but I get more excited the more I think about it. I dont tend to get great ideas all the time but every once in a while I do and they usually come in a flash so I have to put them down on some form of media before I forget them. I usually keep a word document just for ideas on the story so i can go back and incorporate them into the store. So far I have almost 3 pages of ideas.

The Story is of a FBI agent and a Terrorist, gee that seems pretty new huh. How many books are about that right? well they are just characters its more about what the terrorist does that is so interesting. Sometimes I wonder if I am just sick to think such horrible things but it is in a artistic standpoint that I think keeps me honest. Well I dont want to spoil it but it has to do with biological warfare that hits close to home and probably closer than anyone would have guessed. Plus its so simple that anyone even a child could be implicated in the plan and infact they do. But probably not the way you think. So have I peaked your interest yet. Well if you are interested by all means please visit my other blog and read the developing story. Who knows maybe some publicist will take a gander one day and want to publish it. That would be very cool. Who knows maybe someday when my other book is done I will publish those to a blog so that one can be read also. But I am only on chapter 3 of that book as far as editing goes. I am also not so sure it reflects my best work. It started out as a cool idea and then sort of fell by the waste side until I picked it up like 3 years later to start again, then put it down and then picked it up. Is that the way all writers write their stories?

I tend to write in order starting with the beginning that way the story deveolops in my mind as I am writing it. Of course I have ideas on what will happen such as interesting scenes with action perhaps a little bloodshed, and then I also try to think how am I going to end the book, who wins will it be the good guys or the bad guys. In my first book it was the bad guys or guy I should say who ends up winning.

Well other than that I am still on the job hunt no luck so far. I have only heard back from one company and that was to thank me for submitting my resume. So hopefully I will hear more in the future and perferably in the near future before I seperate from the AF.

Oh I also wanted to wish all the Mothers out there a Happy Mothers day from myself. I unfortunately have to work the entire weekend which I am not looking forward to but I am sure you will hear all about it in this and who knows maybe I can get a huge jump on my new book. I am shooting for finishing at least the first draft of it by June so that gives me a month, which shouldnt be that hard I have time to myself usually late at night and since everyone is sleeping during that time I write best I think.

Well I am off to bed, I have not been sleeping too good lately, must be the stress of things these days but hopefully I can relax and enjoy whichever way my life turns. Till then may all of your highways stay clear and all the red lights of life turn to green.

Last Few days

Lets see what can we talk about today. Well work is going alright, still kind of boring but thats ok. The job search is still going although not as well as I would hope still not getting any calls or anything. Not even a thanks for submitting your resume email. I can't help but think it's my resume but I dont think its that bad. Could I be wrong?? anyways....

I am reading "The hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" which is pretty good. I bought the collective works which is 5 books in one. I am on the 4th book right now. The author is pretty good except the story line jumps around alot which is something I am not that big of a fan of but I am continuing on to see how each book ends.

I rented a couple of movies this week, its been awhile since I did that. Last saturday I rented "Lemini Snickets blah blah blah" I enjoyed that movie, Jim Carrey is an amazing actor and I think he had a great chance to shine in this flick and did so. I also rented "Oceans 12" which was alright but the plot was hidden. So well hidden that they didn't reveal anything until the very ending which for me was not a good idea. I enjoy trying to figure out how the story is going to go but if you dont drop at least a few hints that pretty much makes it impossible. Plus there was not all that great thievery that I was looking forward to.

Last night I rented 2 movies the first of which was "Napolean Dynamite" Ok I am not so sure I should comment on this movie. I was taught if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything. Well screw that I have to tell all how bad, no strike that, HORRIBLE this movie is. The entire movie is monotone. There is absolutely no excitement not even raised voices as far as I could see. Its about this moron's life which is the most boring life I think i have ever seen. I am not sure how the write got this movie green lighted to make. All I can figure is he financed it himself and who knows perhaps he is the main character. I didn't laught I don't think once and I smiled once and that was only cause the end credits were coming on. I know I probably could have turned it off but I had to at least give it the benefit of the doubt which I see now was a huge mistake. If you ever get the chnance to see this movie, run, run run away. Please spread the news to everyone else that this movie must be retired to lost basements and garage sales.

The other movie I rented was called "After the Sunset". It had Pierce brosnan and Selma Hyak as the main characters and also Woody Harrelson. Now this movie I thought was pretty good. Its about the couple who are jewel theives and they are supposedly retired until the last diamond in a collection goes on display which happens to be right where they retired too and the urge becomes too much for the couple. I dont want to give up the ending but its pretty good. I actually enjoyed this movie and it helped me forget the previous movie even if only for a couple of hours while it was playing.

There are a few other movies that are out that I want to see but I am in no hurry they will still be there when I get the chance to rent them. I also went to the movies and saw Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy at the theater, which would explain why I bought the book. The movie was good but all the reviews said it was not very much like the book and they were correct. But the special effects were awesome and I think it would make a great movie to take your family to or just go to enjoy a movie. I also saw Sahara which was pretty good. The plot is about some treasure hunters searching for a iron ship back in the 1800 that somehow has made its way from the US all the way to Africa but along their travels befriends a doctor who needs their help and they are of course pulled into that situation. Good flick.

Last night I was off but instead of staying up I fell asleep and didnt wake up until like 5Am which was exactly what I did not want to do. I should have forced myself to get up around 2 or so so I could sleep during the day which is my hours. But I didn't so now I have to figure out when I am going to be napping to get myself back on my schedule. I did however get a really good idea for my next book. I know what your saying, 2nd book? yes I have written one and its currently in the editing phase. I am developing the chapters more so that it has more girth. It a story about a deadly sweepstakes that people think they have won but end up realizing it was a mistake. Last nights story just sort of jumped into my head. I was laying down and I started to get this idea and needed to jump up and write it down before I forgot it. I will give you a quick preview.

It is a suspense about terrorism, biological warfare and mass histeria.

I know its not alot but I dont want to give anything away. If I had to group it with a certain kind of book I would say perhaps along the lines of one of those "Tom Clancy" novels. I just jotted down a few ideas and what might happen in the plot and I think it will make for one good book, novel or perhaps movie sometime. I am not sure when I will get a chance to start it but who knows maybe I will get in the mood and just start writing. That was kind of how the first one came about. It started out as a collective endeavor involving my Wife at the time, now my Ex-Wife but she only helped on the first chapter or so. Then I kept writing and low and behold I think it was 2 or 3 years later I finally got the entire story done, now I just need to develop the characters more and fill in some of the gaps. Who knows maybe I will publish the pages in a Blog and put the link on here. I know that I am not the greatest author but I like to think that I can get a point across using words and hopefully get the reader to see in their minds eye what I am trying to portray.

So that pretty much brings us up to today. Not alot is going on today, I am hoping to get my yard cleaned up today and cut my grass. Its been awhile so I really should get that done before the neighbors gang up and come knockin on my door. But I have been busy for the last, couple of months, ya know with sleeping and watching TV and all, that takes energy people! Well if I don't get that done today perhaps tomorrow. The sun is just coming up so perhaps I will take a drive today and get out of the house. Although I am not really sure where I would go, but its a big world I am sure I can find something.

Perhaps tonight I will log on and publish how my day went, that is if I am not busy watching TV or Sleeping..

Finished my book

I finished my Dean Koontz book called "The Taking". I read the whole thing in about 5 hours or so. Not bad if I do say so myself. I did enjoy it although I had a few questions about the author. Is he religious based? Does he use religious themes often. This book was a different way of expressing what I thought were religious points. I have to say he is a very good writer, very good at setting the scene and allowing me to understand how everything is.
I will have to do more research on this Author and see what others say about his writing to be sure.

I just wanted to write something really quick on my book. Now I need to run to the store which is going to suck because its raining like crazy outside.

Friday night (Nowwhere to go)

Well tonight was pretty boring. I slept most of it, with periodic awake times to drink some soda and watch a little TV. LIke I said boring. Well around 4 I decided to take a trip to Walmart and see what was shaking. I find it fun to see who else is awake and touring our splended department store. Well unfortunatly it was mostly workers with the exception of a few teens trolling the aisles and I am guessing seeing what trouble they could get into till they got bored. They looked around I would say 17 or 18, oh to be that young again. I can remember messin around at that hour, usually drunk and just looking to kill time. At that age the typical teen doesn't have alot on their mind.

I did find a few things that I decided to buy. I was going to buy a few DVD's but decided not to as I was walking around. I was going to buy "The Generals Daughter" and "Enemy at the Gate". Both of which are really good but I dont need anymore movies at the time being, I have almost 300 and yet I still wonder what to watch when I am in the mood. Well I bought a Card for my mother for her day coming up next week, and a few books, One is "The Secrets of the Da Vinci Code revealed" which kind of struck me as funny. Is there really any secrets of anything anymore? I mean with the internet, given a little time any secret will be revealed. Where are the books that we all would probably like to see like:

"Secrets of Avoiding long lines at the DMV or Other Goverment Offices revealed"

"Secrets of when to wash your car and not have it rain the next day"

"Secrets of women" --would be a #1 seller for sure.

I would put secrets of Men but I am pretty sure women already have us figured out.

You get the idea of where I was headed. I guess given a little time one can probably find anything they needed on the Internet. I guess the key is to wade through the thousands and thousands of crap pages to get to the real information.

The other book I bought is one by Dean Koontz and its called "The Taking" Is I guess about the last day before the end of the world or so I gathered from the description. I bought it 1. Because it looks interesting and for 2. some research for my own book that has been collecting dust. Its pretty much written I just want to edit it and give it some more depth and descriptions of the scenes and such. I am not so sure I did a good job. I mean yes I can say there is a apple on the table. But to say that the apple is as red as the sun on a hot day and that the table is like that vast desert with nothing upon it except the apple. You get the idea of what I am talking about. It takes I guess Finess to write like that and I am still learning my style I guess. I can write and write but usually my writing sounds like the way I talk. I am most comfortable doing that.

I have been doing alot of reading of other peoples Blog's I find it very intersting to step into other peoples lives like that. I can stop by get an idea and then move on, no one is the wiser and no one gets hurt, well unless I decide to make a comment or 2 which I do tend to do often. Sometimes I offer advice as far as my worldly wisdom goes and sometimes I may complement or just say hello. I hope that people stop by on mine and comment its nice to know that I am not just writing to myself. But if no one does then so be it, I just have a record of my thoughts and maybe someday they will bring me some solice or comfort and perhaps a laugh.

I think I am going to stop writing for now and start reading one of my books. I think the Da Vinci one looks interesting so I will start with that one for a while.

DMV memories

Well today I had the pleasure if spending some time at the DMV. I was actually suprised at how many people were not there. Every other time I have had to go there the line was unbelievable and I would usually spend the better part of the day there. Fortunately for me Georgia has their stuff together and the whole experience lasted only an hour or so. Now I am officially a licensed vehicle operator again. If you didn't know, mine expired and I had thought that because I was in the military it was still good. Well last week I found out that I was mistaken and needed to get mine so I didn't end up getting stopped or something.

Of course now that I got it back I had to speed home cause now I could get stopped and be legal, oh and no I didnt get stopped.

As I was sitting there waiting for my turn, I began to look at those around me and wonder what they had going on today. I began to see how all these lives even if just for a moment in time crossed paths. Take for instance the guy who was sitting in front of me. Shaved head, goatee, knife on is belt. What did he do for a living, was he someone who worked with his hands? Did he even work? Could it be that he lost his license and maybe he was just getting it back? You know you really cant tell just from looking at someone. This same man offered up his seat to a little older lady so she could sit down. I thought that was nice of him. Maybe his good deed of the day or week for that matter. What about that little old lady. Could it be that she was just getting her license or perhaps renew it for the 10th time? I believe she could have been 70 or so. Maybe she just wanted it so she could visit her children or grand children. Then in a flash the man and her were gone.

I know it kind of seems silly but for that hour or so we all crossed paths. What did people wonder about me? I was wearing some sweats and a T-shirt. Didnt feel like dressing up for the DMV. Did they wonder where I was from? None of them saw my military Id or that I was renewing a NY drivers license. Perhaps they thought I was originally from GA. I hadn't shaven so they could have wondered if I was even working. I was pretty quiet and didn't say much even at the desk, kept to yes and no answers.

I wonder if anyone could see themselves talking to me? Even if it was just saying hello. The little older ladie smiled when she sat down and I smiled back. I am not opposed to smiling or saying hello, just felt like sitting there pondering the questions that ran into my mind.

I was wondering if that little machine they had behind the desk was used for fake ID's. I wondered how one might befriend one of those workers and have them make one. Maybe you meet up and create some small talk and then when the timing is right pop the question about making one. How would you go about doing that. Of course the info has to be in the system, so something would have to be filled out. Could she bring it in with her? Then when no one was looking add the info to the database? A picture would also have to be taken. How would one get in, get that done without riling suspicion. I contemplated getting past the front desk that seems to weed out all who are not worthy of moving on in line. Some told to go to another building others told they need more paperwork completed. Saying you knew someone I am sure would not work. I imagine you would have to find a way to do that.

Ok say you get past the front desk, would you be nervous when you met eyes with the woman behind the desk who is doing this for you? What would be the ramifications if you got caught? Could it be jail time she would assured be unemployed after. Walking up to the desk would be kind of scary but exciting at the same time. Then it would happen, you would get the picture taken, uh oh, another snag, you need to give them a fingerprint of both hands. How in the world would you fake that? I mean I am sure there are ways but they sure make it difficult. Perhaps, looking back at my CIA Spy days I could lift the prints off the glass that I got from the Steak Out resturant and then make a set to use, or maybe pay someone to meet me there to use theirs. Well either way that would have to be completed. Or maybe just maybe your friend could bypass that portion and just leave it blank. Well now your picture is taken and then it takes about 5 minutes to get the ID. Would that 5 minutes be nerve racking? what if someone knows. What if they already know and are waiting for you to walk out before they arrest you. Ok so say you get away with it, what will you do with a fake ID? I would go on but my ID was ready and I just left to go get something to eat and decide what else to do with my day.

So as you can see my mind wanders and that is pretty much what this Blogger is about.

Next I ordered some food and was waiting for it to be done as I was sitting there the girl behind the counter was cute. Someone I could see going out with but then again she kinda looked young. I would rather be with someone that is either my age or older. Then as I was sitting there I started thinking about why it was that I didn't have someone in my life?

I then started retracing the relationships that I have had and wondered how things could have been different. I mean I guess I am thankful for everything, I must have learned something from each one that together make me who I am. I do know that I dont like making moves unless I am totally sure. There was a few times that I expressed my feelings and they didnt turn out as I thought it would. The last time was in Germany I told her that I was interested and I thought that she could have been too but she wasn't. Everything seemed to change and all things as they were we were still friends but not as close as we had begun to be. I have been happy dont get me wrong, very happy but as with all things it has came to an end. There is always hope that I will find someone else out there but when? This week? Month? Year? 10 years? who knows. I didnt really date till I was almost out of high school, I was kind of a geek. But I wondered none the less.

I then thought perhaps I should write all my stories down about how I have had some success in relationships but mostly failures. Would anyone want to read about those? I thought about calling it "What do women really want? Cause I have no Idea apparently" Then started going back to my earlier ones and was trying to remember how they went, but ya know what, most details have escaped me. Now I wasn't writing anything down just brainstorming I guess, and realized that the things that stand out are the really happy and really sad times. Nothing in between. If you had to ask me how long my first relationship lasted I couldn't tell you. With the exception of the last couple the rest are buried deep within my mind. I am sure that bits and pieces come out here and there, perhaps a song or smell or being someplace familiar brings them out. Maybe life is just made of memories, and we should treasure them as much as possible. Or maybe we should go out and make as many memories as possible so that if one or 2 get lost we have many many more to rely on. Or maybe those memories are for others to remember you. I mean if your in the woods and you saw big foot and you were the only one to see him or her for that matter its your own memory and no one elses. Sure you can tell others about it but its still just yours.

Who knows maybe its a little of all of that, memories are for those who want them. If you think about it, you have good memories that you dont want to lose, perhaps a loved one passes away, those memories you dont ever want to forget, or maybe a sad memory, your significant other decides that they dont want to be with you, a memory you would like to forget. But maybe they wouldn't maybe they want to see you like that and to them its a good memory. I guess maybe it's like the saying, "In the eyes of the Beholder" It all depends on your perceptions.

Ok well I think I have rambled on enough for today, perhaps if I have some more thoughts I will try to remember them and jot them down for whomever decides to read them.

Oh on a side note, Jolene Siana wrote me back and I was very happy to see that. I of course wrote right back as soon as I got to read it. She also told me that she believes her book will be coming out in June. I for one can not wait, matter of fact I think I am going to have it ordered on Amazon so that I may recieve it when it comes out. I am not sure what it is about reading her thoughts on her blogger, but I really enjoy it. Is that weird that even though I do not know her or anything besides what she writes to feel a sort of closeness? Ok maybe that didnt come out right. I am in no way a stalker or anything and I don't want her to be scared but After reading what she has written I want to know more. I want to see what she is going to write next. Well I am not sure how to explain it but if I figure it out I am sure I will write it down here.

Well another work day is complete. I should really start writing when I am home and stuff comes into my head but I dont. Well I might have to write myself a note to remember to do that..

Tonite I did some reading of other peoples blogs and came across this one that I though was really cool. Its about this writer, and yes she is female if you were wondering. I dont know why but I like reading blogs by women more than men, I guess they just have more to say. Anyways she just had a book come out and it looks pretty interesting.

I wanted to write to her and tell her how much I enjoyed reading her posts but unfortunately she did not allow for comments so I guess I will just have to put those comments in here and who knows maybe she will happen to gander at what I wrote.

The book from what I gathered from reading reviews and summaries is about her life in the 80's when she was going through some troubling times and found solice writing to a Musician and letting her feelings come out. She ended up getting those letters back years later and realized that they helped her get through her tough times and I guess decided to share with everyone else.

I would say I spent a few hours reading her posts on her blog and I really like the way she writes, I am not sure what it is about how she wrote but I could tell just from reading that I would love to sit down and talk to her. I am really a big fan of deep conversations and from what I could tell I think she is too. Ok maybe some of that is I would hope she liked to sit down and talk. Or it could be that I would just like someone to sit down with and talk to at great lengths. I realize I have people that I could sit down and talk to but I am not sure it would have the effect that I am looking for. If any of my friends are reading this please dont feel as though I dont want to talk to you, its just that I think sometimes talking to a total stranger is better than someone that knows your secrets, not that there are any..

I think that I may write her a email and let her know how I felt reading her entry on her biological Father (whom she has never met) I think that she really has alot to say and would really like to find out some answers that seem to be plagueing her for years. I hope that she someday gets the chance to do so.

I sometimes remember that I have a few works of art of the written kind that I would love to see published but like everything else in my life, is left unfinished. Why is it that I cant finish anything I Start. Well I know of one thing that I am finishing and that is my tour of duty in the USAF. But then what? I am really scared of what is going to happen in the future and that sucks, cause I am usually not scared of anything. I have been through alot of stuff in my many 31 years and like to think that I handled it pretty good. I know some stuff I could have done better but not bad if I say so myself. But in the next 2 months I have alot of decisions to make and things that are going to effect me in different ways. Will I stay here or move, where will I work? will I or wont I sell my house? questions and more questions. .... I am sure I will find my way through it as I have done in the past its just the waiting that is killing me. I have some leads on what I will be doing but until I know for sure, it still weighs pretty heavily on my mind. Maybe I will post my books or Book and beginnings of the Screenplay I was writing a ways back loosely based on my experiences in love and lost love of course with a comedic twist, those who know me, know that I am an eternal smart ass, something I am proud to say has been passed to my daughter Alicia, she is definately like her daddy in that respect.

You know sometimes I sit down and say, man, I have went through alot of stuff over the last 10 years and then sometimes I sit down and say what did I really do? I guess it all depends on the mood I am in at the time. Some days I am very chipper and laugh and act goofy and make jokes, even if I am the only one in the room I laugh at myself. Then other days, I dont feel like getting out of bed and doing anything. Sometimes I wonder why cant I just pull the sheets over my head and just lay there and and then when I immerge, it will be farther in the future and things will be all worked out. I guess it all boils down to stress and somedays are more stressfull than others.

Ok well I guess I have pissed and moaned enough for one night, and my replacement will be showing up soon so I should end this. I hope that you enjoy reading what goes on inside my head at least it can be entertaining to more than just me, and I also hope that Ms. Jolene Siana happens to stumble upon my little blog and comments. As I said earlier I would love to just sit down and have a great talk with her. Dont know why, I mean she is attractive but I have a feeling that I would just bee a little too average to her and all that she has seen. Alright Peace Out!!!!

One Man show tonight

Well tonite it's just me workin. Pretty boring too. I actually did some work when I got here and did some looking up of some Old West Gunslingers. I had Tombstone on in the background so I looked up Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp. I am not sure why but for some reason I have been facinated with the Old West and what it would be like to have lived then. But then I remember, they didn't have Cable and forget that whole Idea.

I have been watching the show "Dead Like Me" over my last few days off, I downloaded the 2nd season just so I could see how it was going, or went as I should say I dont think its still airing anymore. Ok I went and did some searching and found out that apparently Showtime is considering cancelling the show and there is a Forum devoted to trying to stop it. So I guess we shall just have to wait and see how it all works out. Oh incase you are not familiar with the show let me give you some details on the show.

First the show is put out there by Showtime, and I am guessing MGM studios. Its about this Teenager that goes by the name George. By the way George is a girl, short of Georgia. Well anyways she has this kind of bad attitude about life and everything in general, and is struck down in the prime of life by a runaway toiletseat that was dropped from a space station and ends up hitting her where she stands. Well instead of her going to heaven or hell for that matter she finds out that she has been destined to be a Grim Reaper. Only not in the sense that we are all used to. She basically helps those that are ready to pass on, let loose of their soles so they may pass over. She is basically still alive only she can not be noticed cause she no longer looks like she did when she was alive and she is forced to work this this group of people whose job is also as grim reapers. Its laced with comedy and some serious tones. I think its hillarious, but then again I am a big fan of the Airplane movies so nuff said. Anywho, I would say if you get a chance to watch the show please do hopefully you will not be dissapointed as you see Georgia come to grips with the afterlife as she starts out her new Life as Milly, AkA "Georgia the Reaper."

Oh I also got the chance to watch 3 new movies that are now out in theaters. The first of which was Robots. I think this movie is pretty funny and would definately recommend it to anyone especially kids. I laughed at certain parts and though others were meant for us adults but still funny.

The next movie I saw was, National Treasure. This movie is based on a Treasure being hidden by our four fathers that dates back in time and is apparently amassed over the years with treasure from every great time period. This treasure was supposedly to great that no one man could own it so it was hidden and clues were left all over the place to find and decifer. One of the treasure hunters is played but Nicolous Cage and he does a pretty good convincing job that he knows what he is talking about. First you are lead to the tale by his grandfather, and then to the first clue which leads to the stealing of the "Declaration of Independance" and leading eventually to the treasure, but with a bit of a twist at the end, or at least I thought so. Its a very good movie I would say go see it if you get the chance.

The last movie I am going to talk about is "Constantine". This movie stars Keanu Reaves or however you spell his name, and is about him as a Excorcist of some sorts and he goes around killing deamons or Deporting them back to hell as he explains. It also has the woman from "The Mummy" In it, forgive me I do not have her name in front of me but she does a good job at what comes out to be a dual role as Twins. Its packed with lots of special effects which they do an oustanding job as well as how well the movie moves along. There are not long periods of nothing happening. I enjoyed this movie even if I am not a Keanu fan. For some reason everything he plays in to me seems like a Surfer, I know he doesnt want that but sorry, it will always be to me. Dont get me wrong he is talanted but I guess I just alway see him that way. Maybe it was just those early roles or could be the way Mad TV portrays him each time. Anyways if you get the chance please go and watch this move its good.

Alrighty I am back. Well I havent really looked at the news so I dont have too much to comment about that. I did do some more research on "The Da vinci Code" and found out that alot of the premise for that thought is through something called "The Gnostic Gospel" which are scrolles that were found in Egypt by someone calle Muhammad Ali, and sold to an American sometime around 1945 which were supposed to be missing Verses and Proberbs to the bible. Now I read some on the subject and I am still researching it but it seems as though the problem with these scrolls is that they can not be authenticated before 300 AD. which means that they were written a considerable time after the bible and has a peganistic approach and teachings. Some believe that these were written to rebute the bible and give it a turn that those who wrote them wanted. Such as that Jesus was just a human man not a prophet and that Mary Magdalain and him were more than just friends if you know what I mean. Also, it gives the reader the impression that you do not need the church to enter heavan any one person can do so on their own. So you can see why the Church would not want these scrolls to carry any weight in the Religous world. The scrolls would undermine the churches views and possibly change how the world sees religion.
Now a few things that I do see that make sense is that the church wanted to make sure that those scrolles were discredited as much as possible so that people would believe in the church more. This I can see but it make me wonder why it was so important that they do that. I mean if they were in fact not credible or undated why worry about them. But this was not the case, the story goes that because the church wanted all copies distroyed they were hidden until found in Egpyt those may years ago. Plus as some experts have written, those who won the religous battles wrote the story. I equate this to who write history, and the answer is always the winners. I am sure if Germany were able to write history on WWII it would have a different turn than the textbooks of today. So really if you think about it why couldnt those scrolls hold some truth? I have not read them but I plan on taking a look to see what they have to say. I would really like to make my own opionion on the subject, but one has to wonder if its possible. I mean the Church held great power back in the early days of Christianity and who is to say that they did not make history echo what they wanted.
I got into a discussion about the bible with someone I worked with a few months back and he assured me that the bible was scribed by monks who were overseen and made sure that they did not enter any of their own ideas and thoughts and that they each had different parts to the bible as to not compromise the message. However, I have to ask who had the final say and above that, who decided what to put in the bible. Now dont get me wrong I am not saying anything bad but what I am saying is, cant you believe that its possible since the Bible was written by man, and even though it is said to have been written by mans hand with gods words, man still had a part in it. I think that if you take anything and add the influence of man, then anything is possible. Ok enough ranting about religion I will write more when I do more research. I am by no means an expert on the subject so please dont go trying to make me wrong or prove me wrong they are just opinions and I am by no means the authoritative word on the subject. But by all means please express your opinions.

Its been a while

Well its been a while so I thought I would log on and write a bit tonight.

Let me start out by letting everyone know what is going on with me. First off I am still in search for a job once my AF career comes to a close. I have farmed my resume' out to a few companies but none have bitten yet. I have a few friends also helping me out with my endevour and they are keeping me posted on what the rumor mill is saying.

I am still working on my house. The floor that I was working on is finished now I am finishing up the walls. I cut in around the outside of the room and rolled on 2 coats now I just have to finish the trim and put the baseboards back on and its done. I had off 3 days this weekend and didnt finish it yet but hopefully this week.

I did get a chance to download the first season of Deadwood which if you like western themed shows I would try to watch it. Its pretty good, it details the town of Deadwood that was located in South Dakota I believe before it became a state. The show begins with the town about the time that Wild Bill Hicock showed up only to be killed in one of the saloons in the mining town. The guilty party was presumed innocent and sent free only to be hanged in another part of the country a time later.

I must warn you though the show does curse alot. I am not really sure if that was the way it was but they seem to use a few terms all the time and its kind of annoying. I guess those terms were used back then but I have no proof if they actually were. I am not going to repeat them here its not really the place for that. But the show does have the feel of a authentic Western Town around the 1700's in the black hills right after the gold rush started.
I wonder what it would be like to live back then. I am not so sure I would last but then again I guess if I was I would have grown up differently and been prepared for the way the west was back in those days. Things seemed less complicated but could turn for the worse in a very short period of time. Life did not seem to be worth as much back then as it is now. Anyways, if you get a chance to check it out I would recommend it.

Lets talk about appointing a new pope. I read today that the cardinals started their conclave to elect a new pope. I believe that is right on schedule with the previous popes instructions that have also been used for generations before with a few updated rules. For instance now if after 12 days a new pope has not been elected with a 2/3s vote, a majority will be used. I think it would be cool to be in Rome to see the election results as displayed by the smoke stack. If you are not aware of the process, after each vote, the ballads are burned and if the smoke is black a new pope has not been elected but if the smoke billows white a new pope has been. Then because of Pope John Paul II, a bell will be rung so that everyone will know that the new pope has been elected. Then the newly elected pope will address the square from he balcony. I am sure that day will be rich with media coverage. I am sure I will read up on it to see the outcome.

Since we are on the subject of Catholicism I finished reading "The Da Vinci Code". I recommend this book to anyone who wants a different look on the bible and other religous themes. Now before anyone gets all huffy and puffy, I am not saying its an accurate portrayal of what happened during the times the bible was being written or there after, it is a work of fiction even if it does state that there are facts. What I liked about this book is it gave you a different direction of thinking. It basically talks about this secret society that protects the remains of Mary Magdolain and writings about how she and Jesus had a relationship and she bore him a child after he was crucified on the cross. The whole book is on how some people believe that this information should be given to the world as the catholic church wants to keep it hidden because its rebukes alot of the faith that has been given to is followers.
I did some looking up of the references they talked about such as, Da Vinci's painting of the last supper, does not show the 12 deciples as we are told but 11 and the person to Jesus's right is Mary herself. She was made out to be his "Companion" throughout the book. I was interested in looking up these facts in the book and seeing what the author was trying to say but I also read views that were the contrary to the the Da Vinci Code book. They say that it is a fabrication and that the last supper was of the 12 deciples and not Mary. Even though if you look at it, it does who a person who appears to be more feminine than the rest. I am going to attacth a picture of the painting to those that would like to see what I am talking about.

If you look carefully at the person to Jesus right it appears as though it is a female, also the book also refers to the way Jesus and the person to his right's arms form a V, this is supposed to be a symbol for Female. Well its a good book to read although I would not base my faith upon it without concrete evidence that there is infact evidence to prove otherwise.

Ok well I guess that is all that has been happening so far. Sorry its been awhile since I last posted. I guess you could say I have been busy working and working on my house or you could say that I have been just too lazy to update this. Whats up with me

Well I am betting you are wondering what I have been doing with my time since I have not been writing in here. Well Iwill tell you. First I have been cleaning which takes up alot of my time, not because I am really dirty but because I save up things to keep me busy. The nex thing I did was refinished my upstairs floor. Well am in the process of doing so. I took everything out and sanded all the old stain off the floor and let me tell you what a pain that was. I used a orbital sander which was a mistake but ya know I have enough time on my hands where I can do that plus it saved me the 50 or so dollars a day to rent a floor sander.

Next I resanded because I had to make sure I got it all then I began cleaning up the room and the hallway. I never realized how much dust could hide in all sorts of places. So I had to basically go around the room and sweep everything to find all the dust I could so it didnt get stuck in the stain.

Next I started staining and finished the hallway today. I dont think I did a great job only because this is really the first time I stained a floor and didnt keep my wet edge going enough so you can see where I stopped to move farther along the floor but when I put my 2nd coat on which is after I resand to smooth the 1st coat out I am going to tackle it a different way I think. Oh I chose the color Bombay Mahogany which is a deep red, I wanted a darker color because the floor is old and there are stains on it which I wanted to blend in more.

Well anyways I will try to keep everyone updated on my progress, its almost 7 and I am almost out of here but first I need to go have a smoke. Enjoy your week.

Well lets see what is going on in the news. I guess the 2 things that come to mind are the Pope passing and Terry S as well. I think I will just say in reference to Terry passing is that I sure hope that she really did want to end her live if she was in that state. I also hope that all involved can now move on and have some closure, I am sure that when a family member is incapacitated like that its a major strain on the family.

Now lets talk about the Pope. Well I am not the most religious person in the world and anyone who knows me can tell that. However I think that in the world of religion one of its most prominent members has now moved on to greener pastures. Now I read today that they are thinking of naming him John Paul The Great. I was not even aware that we could do that now adays. I know with people like, Alexander the great, or other historical figures they usually got those nicknames by conquering other countries. Although I could be wrong its not like I went and looked it up. Usually I just write what is on my mind and go from there.

I think that this is history in the making. I know I was born the last time a Pope was elected but I was too young to remember and now I am old enough and think that this is a historic moment. I remember just the other day when I was watching Euro-trip and they talked about the different colored smoke and the ringing of the bell when the pope dies. If you havent seen the movie I highly encourage anyone to watch it. Anyways, I actually learned something and then low and behold now we really get to see what happenes when they elect a new one. I did some reading about this just because I was curious, and they used to lock the preists and cardinals in the church until they elected a new pope which could take as little as a day and as long as 15 days I believe. They used to vote I think 4 times a day and each time after the vote the ballots are then burnt and depending on the outcome of the vote is what determins the color of the smoke. I think black smoke means there is still no pope and white smoke means a new one has been elected. Pretty cool if you ask me, that is a way to tell everyone what is going on without having to run around making sure everyone knows, all anyone has to do is look up right?

Anyways after they elect a new pope, he will get all dressed up in the robes and greet the crowd from the balcony and this usually takes place 30 minutes after the election. He will also pick a name for himself such as John Paul III.

Well back to the "The Great" subject, can anyone add that to their name? How about "Master of the Universe" Can I add that to my name? Or why stop there, I am sure I could go on all day but you get my meaning. I think its a great honor to add that after the Popes name but I am not sure he would agree. From what I gathered he just wanted to bring peace to everyone not be seen as "The Great Pope" but just a honest and good Pope who did great things.

Well as you can probably tell because I am writing this at 5AM I am back to work. Whoopiii NOT! I am not really in the mood to work tonight. Especially after working days all last week but as they say, S**T happens. Well let me tell you how the Motorcoach Association International expo went.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with all of the Recreational Vehicles (RV) that were in attendence at the 4 day event. It was actually I think 6 days but only 4 of them were open for displays and vendors. If you wanted to buy a new and some used RVs this last week, that was the place to go.

I got the chance to talk to a lot of folk just because of where I was stationed during the 4 days. I was at one of the main intersections where most of the folks walked into the fair grounds I directed traffic, answered questions, and generally just helped out anyone who needed it. I also got a really bad sunburn on top if it which really sucks becuase I am still peeling tonight.

I asked questions like, do you own a home also with your RV, I got mixed answers, some told me that they sold their house to buy the RV, others said the owned a home in addition to their RV and most were in FL, big suprise huh? I even got a few, "I owned a home and a RV and decided to just get rid of the house and live in the RV full time.

There was some talk about gas prices as you would expect but the usual reply was "If you can afford the home, your not gonna worry about the gas." I can agree, I imagine the gas is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the RV. I think the highest priced one on display was 1.5 Million. I unfortunately did not get the chance to tour any of them just because I was working the entire time but they sure are impressive just seeing them drive down the road. But I am not sure I could justify spending 200K or more on a vehicle unless it was a Ferrari or Lamborgini.. But I guess if your retired and like to travel there is probably nothing more comfortable then taking your living room and bedroom with you when you leave.

Next I was going to talk about the Terry Shiavo situation. It looks to me like the parents have thrown in the towel but those standing ouside the Hospice have not. CNN reports that they are going to continue fighting in court starting this morning. Its been about 10 days since the tube was removed so signs of her demise are nearing. Its sad that the whole world is going to be there when she passes away. When that happens its never a good thing and if you added the worlds eyes I am sure that does not make matters any better. I think that its cool that there are people who will fight for someone who can not fight for them selves, even if they have never met or talked to or, before all the publicity, cared what happened to her. But to all those people I do have a question?

Where are you when the homeless are sleeping under a bridge? Are you going to court to help them get work? Giving them food or a home? How about all the other good causes that need attention and due their time in court or just on someones mind. I will be the first to tell you that I do not volunteer as much as I should, and shy away from people who ask me for money even though I have some to give. I think I am not alone in that respect. Its not that I dont want to give it up, I just feel that if they want to work they can, as they say there is always work at the post office. But anyways getting back to Terry. I hope that her husband is making the correct judment call and letting his wife end her what he must imagine is suffering and move on to her next existence. I would hate to be wrong about that one, thats a biggie. I wish them all the best of luck and hope everything works out as best as possible for all who are involved.

Once again MJ is claiming he is innocent, I think the latest I heard was that its a comspiracy against him. Yes I am sure eveyone is out to get him. Come on, if you were smart, you wouldnt be in this situation. MJ is a musical genious, He makes sound financial decisions, but when it comes to common sense he I think is lacking in some way. ya ya, I know it was his up bringing he didnt get the chance to be a kid, ya ok, then buy a corvette and go through your mid life crisis like the rest of us. Now dont get me wrong, it could be very possible that this kid and his parents are just trying to squeeze some cash out of him. They also may get it. I guess it comes down to the fact that he has tons of money is a celebraty and that in itself makes him a target of opportunity as far as lawsuits go, then add in the fact that he constantly wants to be around children, I am sure there were many people who were in his circle of friends who told him about how risky it was.

Ok well enough talk for today, I am gonna go get some sleep,, uh I mean stay up till my shift is through in an hour and a half. Take care

Last 2 days (School Shooting and Terry Schiavo)

Well its been an eventful last couple of days, First I wanted to touch on the school shooting that happened in MN. I would really like where we as a society went wrong? I grew up in the public school system. I was teased and got in my fair share of scuffles, but that was exactly what it was back then. I mean sure there were times when I was very upset but at no time did I every consider doing what these young kids are doing today. How bad can things be for them that they see no way out other than to bring a gun and kill classmates. Not unlike the columbine killings this kid decided to what I can only guess is make a statement. What is that statement? Is it that he and when I say he I mean every other kid that is picked on or not part of the popular crowd wont take it anymore? Or is it that he was just one individual had some sick idealism of how to take care of his own situation? I read a coupe of articles how it says he used the internet to discuss Neo-nazi topics and how he thought that it was a good thing that the Nazi's were trying to do when they carried out thier attrocious acts against humanity. Apparently this kids father commited suicide and his mother is in a hospital with brain damage that she got while in a driving accident. He was in the care of his grand parents who unfortunatly were the first to be murdered by this kid. Could he be a product of his enviornment? Could it be that he got the idea of suicide from his father, figuring that if he could give up like that why not do the same only take some of those people that drove him to this decidion with him? I do believe that children learn from their parents more than anyone. However I do not believe that its the excuse that he could use for doing this.

We all grow up and learn as we do, and choose to do the things that we feel are the right decision. Now if you learned how to come to your decisions from someone who does not know how to make the right decisions is it your fault if you make those wrong decisions? That is a really good question. Some might say, like I did earlier, I grew up teased and riduculed yet I did not grow up killing anyone or even feel that I wanted to do that. I also was lucky in the fact that my father was a good decision maker and as I grew up he let me make my own decisions so that some of my basis was not only what I learned from him but also what I discovered on my own. He did not save me from every situation and sometimes I needed to learn the hard way however he always offered me advice, whether I took it or not was my decision. But this is not about me its about that boy who killed fellow peers as well as what I can only imagine are authority figures in his life. How bad could his grandparents have been for him to kill them. They articles said his grandfather was a police officer so I can only guess he was strict but probably not more than any other parent. Maybe the boy felt that he was not getting a fair deal, his parents were out of the picture because of the problems they faced, so his grandparents stepped up to take care of him. However, since he commited suicide we will probably never know why he did it. Some will guess and say it was his involvement with the Neo-Nazi movement that, whether people believe it or not is alive and well and probably more prevelant than anyone realizes especially with the world wide web. The only thing that I think we can do is make sure that the young kids of today need to know that its alright to be sad or upset when stuff like teasing and other signs of growing up, but its not ok to take that rage and decide that it would be better if those people did not exist anymore. What most young kids dont realize is that, its all a part of growing up. Chances are that when you are out of high school, all that nonsense goes away and more than likely you will still talk to those same people who ridiculded you. When you get out of high school, everything changes and those childish ideals seem to fade away. Now that is not saying that you wont run into the occaisional man or woman who can not let those chidish traits go, but at that point, just let them ring up your purchases and continue on.

Ok next I wanted to touch on the Terry Shiavo court battles going on. I kind of purposly didnt comment on that earlier but I think that at this point I really need to say something about it here. I am not sure how I feel about the situation. On one hand I feel as though if Terry did infact tell her husband that she never wanted to live under those conditions then I think that he is doing the correct thing by fighting her parents to let her die peacefully. Some say that is for the money, however he turned down large sums of money to continue fighting for this. So how could it be for that. I then thought, well why doesnt he give up and let her parents take care of it or maybe set a certain amount of time to see if she can regain some sort of normalty and then after which if she could not, then let her move one from this life. I tried to put myself in his possition, if it were my wife and I knew in my heart that she would not want to live this way how far could I go to make sure that happens, to fullfill her wishes. It would take alot of love and trust to do that for someone. You know that with all the press that this is getting he will never have a normal live when this is all said and done. He will always have people that will make sure he doesnt ever forget what they perceive as an injustice to his wife.

Now on the other side of the coin you have her parents. They dont want their daughter to die regardless of whether she comes out of her situation or not. Which I can also understand because I have a daughter and I could never ever imagine having to let go of her. I believe that they are doing what they believe is right. Of course you are always going to get a lot of he/she said and throwing accusations back and forth, its expected. What no one seems to see is that its not really about Terrys parents or her husband its about Terry. Since my basis on this subject is solely based on the news and what I have heard or read I can never make a uniform decision. Both sides seem to have her best interest at heart just differ on what that best interest is.

Speaking for myself, I am not sure what I would want. If you believe that your not released to another plane of existence until your body experiences death on this plane, you would want to die peacefully so you could move on. If you believe that since the brain is no longer functioning the way it should and that there is no other place to go and you have moved on, then it wouldnt matter if you kept a body alive for the next 50 years. I can see both sides but can not really make a uniform decision if I was asked to make it.

Well I touched on probably the 2 most talked about subjects over the last 2 days. Both of which I am sure we will hear about over and over again in the coming weeks. I just felt that I should put my 2 cents in whether anyone reads it or not. Maybe I will change some of my views as more information comes to light but at this point that is "My Daily Take"

Todays Thoughts

Well not much happened today. Since I have to work Monday morning I had to get some sleep and then still be able to sleep tonight to enable me to work Monday mornin. I am volunteering at some Motorcoach association convention. I have never been to one of these but as far as I know they are selling these multimillion dollar RV's and busses so it should be interesting.

Tonight I watched the Jeff Foxworthy roast which was hillarious as I figured it would be, I watched the Dennis Leary one and that one was also funny as hell.

I was going to go out and find some articles to talk about but then I thought, the news will still be there tomorrow so it can wait. I did however get a thought when i was watching the news eariler. Is it just me or does Condaleeza Rice look familiar, I think she bares a striking resemblence to "the Brain" as in "Pinky and the Brain". I am going to see if I can find 2 pictures that prove that point so check back.

Ok well I figured why not post my resume to my Blog. Who knows maybe someone looking for a IT professional might give me a ring. I am on the look out for a new job as my AF career is coming to a close. I have been in the AF for almost the last 10 years and I think its time to move on. I have friends all over the country so I am sure they are keeping a look out for me. Well what do I really want to do after I leave the AF. Well I know that Networking really interests me as well as maintaining networks. I enjoy being challenged by new concepts and different networking concepts. I have been a manager for the last 6 years and have always had people under me who I have had to guide or manage. I am not afraid of a challenge and would have to say that I have managed to rise above and meet all my challenges head on.

Currently I am looking at 2 possibilities as far as a job goes. I was told that there is a job opening here in Warner Robins which would be great since I already own a house here and I would not have to move. Another opportunity is in Augusta Ga, which is farther away but not so far that I could not rent out my house and still get income from that. Then again I have also heard of oppenings as far west as California so who is to say that I will not take one of those. I guess I will make that decision when the time comes. I am in no hurry to jump on board with just any company that comes asking if I want a job. I will consider all options and make a uniform decision. I will say that pay does have some effect on the outcome of my decision. I have been in the USAF for the last 10 years or almost that long. I look at it this way.

When I joined the AF I had little skills and the AF was willing to pay me more than I was actually worth, which at the time worked out great for me. Then go 4 years later, now I have some skills and I am also getting paid about what I am worth if I were to work on the outside. Now move up to the present. The AF is getting their moneys worth because I am worth alot more on the outside than I am in the AF. Matter of fact probably 2 to 3 times as much if I were in the civilian equivalent of what I do now, which at the moment is not alot. But as you can see I gave up my time the last 10 years, which I think was the correct decision to do, and have gained alot of insight about the world and a career and overall personal growth. I dont regret anything I have learned or did in the last 10 years as a matter of fact I probably would not change a thing, I made those decisions and I live with them every day. I just hope that come July I am ready to start my next new direction that life takes me and hopefully just hopefully things will work out.

This article talks about up coming movies, it talks about "Star Wars Episode 3, Sin City, Fever Pitch, Sahara and Winter Solstice.

Now I am sure I am not the only one who is awaiting the final episode to the Star Wars, Sectiligy I guess since there are 6 of them. Well I cant wait to see how Lucas portrays the making of Darth Vader. Plus it will bring the whole thing full circle which should be interesting. They are saying that this final one will be a 'Tear jerker" and possibly pull a PG-13 rating which will be a first. Although I am sure that will not stop kids from seeing it. it opens sometime in May I believe.

The next movie is Sin City, which stars Bruce Willis and some other known stars. This is actualy a movie in which 3 different stories are taking place. I am not going into details if you want them just go the link I provided above. It looks like a good movie however I probably wouldnt spend the cash to see it at the movies, it would be a rental to me.

Fever Pitch is the next movie, now I am a huge Drew Barrymore fan so you know I would watch this just because she is in it. But there is a more interesting part to this movie. It's about Drew and Jimmie Fallon (Sat night live, Taxi) falling in love but his devotion to the Boston Red Socks plays a huge part in his life. I think the interesting part was while they filmed this movie mostly during last season they had no Idea that Boston would actually Win the World Series, so they had to reshoot the final sequences. If you really paid attention to the final game you saw them shooting it. I did but only because I knew they were going to do that. Anyways I think I will watch this one when it comes out at the Video Store also. I dont get out much, cut me some slack.

The final movie I am going to talk about is Sahara. I know I mentioned Winter Solstice but after reading the review I wasnt that interested so I am going to skip that one. I think that Matthew McConaughey is a talented actor, but he is not the only one in this movie, it also stars Steve Zahn and Penelope Cruz. I am sure you know who they are. Heres a small story about Matthew, well he actually came here to promote this movie. he came on base and a bunch of people got to hang out with him and get his autograph and what not. Was I one of those people you wonder? Hell no, I got better things to do then tag along with some star while he makes his rounds. Well that and I was at work and couldnt get out of it... HA! But I think this looks like a good movie to me, lots of action with a hint of history, granted its probably bogus history but hey as long as it fits with the movie who cares.

Oh I did want to mention one thing about the new Ring movie, I think its called Ring2. This did not get very kind reviews or at least not the ones that I read. I think this will probably still be a good movie and scare. I first watched the Ring while I was in Saudi Arabia during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Just before the war started we were just waiting and keeping busy and they ended up getting a copy of it and playing it on the base theatre. Well that one part when she came out of the TV scared the Crap out of me gave me goose bumps. I still dont watch that movie alone, and not its not that I am afraid of it. Or at least that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Well tonite I heard that one of my good friends got married today in Vegas. I got to talk to him a little bit, they were all out having dinner. I was in the drive thru at Mc d's getting dinner for myself. I was supposed to fly out to Vegas for the wedding but with my current financial status and not being able to get time away I had to miss it. I would have liked to go there though I am sure it was a blast. Once again Congrats Larry and your new Bride I wish you all the luck in the world.

MSNBC - Next hot trend for cell phones: Reading?

Well this is kind of a cool idea but I think reading novels and books on your phone is a bit out there. I do own a IPAQ which I have used from time to time for web pages and pictures and of course MP3s. I have even tried to take a Ebook and read it on there. A few problems that I came across that I believe would be enhanced if you were on a cell phone.

The first of which was, when I had the book displayed I could only see like 3 words a line which made for alot of scrolling. I did have the option of turning the book so I could read it sideways, but that didn't really make it any easier to read. I then had the option of making the text smaller but lets be honest if it getst too small you cant read it.

I am a total fan of technology anyone that knows me knows that, I love to get my hands on new gadgets and try them out. But I think as far as cell phones this goes too far. I have also heard of little shows that they are trying out in Japan that will be like mini soap operas that they shoot to your phone daily. Now video is different and I could even see us in the US someday enjoying that. But when we say yes to that idea we are also saying yes to all the commercialization process too. I can see it now watching TV sitting in a doctors office or on a break, then a commercial for Pepsi comes up.

I think that the days of a cell phone just being a cell phone are days past. Now you can buy a cell that doubles or even triples for multiple items. If you want a winning cell phone idea make a phone that works, nothing fancy just works when I need it to. That to me would be the best bet.

Ok I had to comment on this article. Ok now just so we are all on the same page, doesn't the US have like Billions of Barrels of oil in reserve just incase the supply runs out? Doesn't the US keep these barrels and import from other countries? Didn't we help liberate Kuwait and Help Iraq and are still involved with Iraq? Oh yea and haven't we been allies with Saudi Arabia for the last god knows how long? Then why is it that now Oil prices have sky rocketed and we the american public get stuck with the bill? Ok I can solve this whole problem real quick. Here is my idea.

First we need to dip into those reserves we have stored away. Ya I know but what if we run out? Well i am not saying use it all but in times of need we should offset the costs using those surpluses. Now at the same time we can ease off importing which will in turn drive the prices down a fair amount since those countries I mentioned earlier get a majority of their income from their oil from the US. So what would they do, keep bringing the price up if we weren't willing to buy it? No they would do the exact opposite and bring the prices down. Its all in basic supply and demand, if we take the demand away they will be forced to bring they price down. Then when it gets to an acceptable level we can buy and resupply our surplus.

Now I didn't even touch on the fact that we are in Iraq right now and paying for all of the "Overhaul" I guess you could say of their country. Why isn't the fund from their oil program being used instead of our billions upon billions of dollars. We could help their country and ours by using their funds and continue to offer guidance on how to run their country.

Now Saudi, I am sure we are a very credible asset to them, so we could use that to help our economical problems as far as Oil goes. We continue to buy their oil they continue to get rich and drive the prices up. Once again if we took away some of that demand we would be helping ourselves in the long run.

Ok that is my 2 cents on that subject, but as usual I am not one of those lawmakers in the white house but I do have a say when its voting time as we all do, well as long as we exercise that right to vote.

Slow night

Tonight not much happened, I went into work for a bit to do a few different things to avoid having to go in tomorrow. I played a little cards, didnt do too hot but then again I am not really in the mood to play tonight. I did watch a movie about Stu Unger who is a legend as far as poker goes. This guy won 3 Poker world series events and 2 of which were back to back. The move is called "High Roller". The kid who plays Christopher on "The Saprano's" plays Stu, not sure what his name is but its pretty good. I also rented "Ladder 49" which was pretty good right up to the point where the DVD started skipping and missing parts so I shut it off. I will make sure I get a free rental on that one. Other than that tonight has been pretty quiet. I am however pondering a 3 Am trip to Walmart maybe I will find what I am looking for. What am I looking for you might be asking? I dont know but when I find it I will let you know.

Well hope everyone had a super day, mine didn't start until 8 this evening but hopefully tomorrow will bring good news to some and better news to others. Enjoy..

Ok does anyone see what I think I see going on here? Ok here is what I think is going on. I think that Mario planned all this once it was clear that he was a favorite to win. Why not drop out, make a big deal about it, dont give any reason why he dropped out and then let his fame carry him to a recording contract. If you ask me I think its pretty smart. He doesn't have to put up with the competition, He doesn't need to deal with Simons recording company or any contracts and he still makes out like a bandit and probably becomes the next Clay Aiken. It says in this article that he hired the same lawyer that Clay used to get out of his contract so obviously he still has some contractual obligations to full fill. I am sure that Simon is not stupid and there is probably a clause that says something like Mario cant record with anyone but him if he ends up recording or forfeits some profits or something along those lines. Well I hope that Mario gets away with it and makes tons of cash. I wish I would have thought about doing that, well ok, no I am not on American Idol, I am not a famous singer, but ya never know.. It could happen..........

Thoughts on my ride home

Well I just got home and thought I would post some of the thoughts I had when I was home. One of them was what do I want to talk about on my new blogger.....

One thing was, what am I going to use my blogger for other than storing my nonsense ramblings of thoughts I have in my head. Well just before I left work me and one of the guys I work with were talking about Germany.

In case you didnt know I was stationed in Germany for 4 years and he happened to be there at the same time in another squadron, I didnt know him at that time, but we both knew some people who were mutual friends of ours. This got me to thinking of people I have worked with while I was there. But I didnt want to talk about that here this morning. One thing that did jump into my head was something that a older German lady told me when I first moved into the house I lived in there.

It was an afternoon and I was out with another neighbor that I had met who spoke english and we were walking around so I could find out who I am living next to. Well just down my driveway, which unbeknownst to me was actually a street, although if it was located here in the US it would have been a driveway. Well anyways, this old lady, actually 2 old ladies were sitting down at the end of the drive just chatting away in german, which I dont speak. Well I speak a very small amount, I can ask for basic things say please and thank you and know alittle about how to speak in terms of numbers and money, but I was clueless about what they were talking about. Well the person I was with said hello to them and I did also as it was translated to the older ladies. They asked me my name and where I was from and it was some pleasant chit chat which was nice.
Well one of the ladies asked me if I spoke German which I said now, and said maybe you ladies should learn English and then the old ladie looked at her friend and then me and said something in Germany, my neighbor translated it to me and it came out as, she is too old to learn English so I better learn German...
Well for some reason this small conversation has stayed with me for about the past 5 years and I always remember that lady telling me that. I guess you could say that she was stuck in her ways and there was no way or reason for her to learn my language but if I want to talk to her I better learn hers.
Or you could say that maybe because I am younger it is up to me to learn more to talk to her because it would be easier for me to learn German than her to learn English.
I guess you could look at that in many different ways but I think what it boils down to is if I cant speak the language maybe I should just shut my mouth......... Nuff Said.........

Ok maybe I rambled a bit on that one but I thought it was a nice story. Well everyone have a wonderfull day and be productive, I am heading to bed, night shift takes a toll on ya.......

Well I have to say that I am new to blogging and this would be my very first posting. I figured what the heck, here I am at work and bored as usual.

Somethings that were on my mind today lets see....

The Blake trial, did he really desirve to be set free? Well to be honest I didn't really watch the trial that much and really it doesn't matter to me one way or another, congrats on your release buddy. I would however think twice before you go and decide to bring your gun out with you next time your out on the town, do you really think your life is in danger? I would have to say no, you werent that great an actor give it up.

The Jackson trial.
I do try to read about this trial if only for the fact that usually its on the front page and there is usually something interesting to read. So far it looks as though the prosecution to me is not doing that great a job. The boy who was "Supposedly" molested or whatever they are using as the term did seem to contradict himself quite a bit. Now granted I am not in the courtroom and I have no idea if the current reports are correct but from what I have read so far its not looking good for the prosecution and looking very good for MJ. But its neither here nor their because once again either way it ends up, its just news to me.

Whats going on in my life. Well so far not that much. A few more months and I will be out of the USAF. I have not been doing much work wise, just getting my stuff together for the big move to the civilian sector. I have been playing alot of online Texas HOldem, which is by far the coolest thing going on. I am not doing too well, I will keep this up to date on how much I have won or lost depending on my mood.

Well since this was my first post I think I will end this with a question. Well I was going to but I could not think of one under the gun. Maybe tomorrow I will.
